Because you have been poisoned for so many years by their adverts (and their food).
Hamburgers are for lazy unhealthy people, people who can`t be bothered to cook, people who can`t even be bothered to chew. You don`t even have to put the burger between the bun, or add the sauce, etc. Burgers are most definitely for lazy people. I also suspect that they are taking years off your life expectancy.

I noticed that every one else seems to like them, I expect this is because you are all Americans, where as I am British, and we haven`t been poisoned for as long as you lot yet by the adverts and whatever junk they put in all that fast food crap. I much prefer fruit and vegetables than all that processed stuff.

Because it satisfies our primordial hunter instinct to eat the flesh of an inferior species, although we don't actually hunt the cow down and kill it with a sharpened stick while wearing loin clothes it still gives us some kind of satisfactory reward as a hunter gatherer.
