It is because your body sort of goes on Stand By, but it still continues doing some jobs, it processes your food, and all the water is either absorbed or exceted out. The reason you go stright after you wake up is because a large amount of 'pee' collects in your bladder overnight and if you sleep for a long time the more you collect and thats sort of why. It is also because the 'pee' contains impurities and other stuff which your body doesnt want and it wants to get rid of them as quick as possible.
Hope that sort of answers your question.

because your body goes through a detoxification process at night while you sleep. Ideally, you should go number 2 when you wake up too.

Because you haven't done anything but make urine for the last x number of hours. Just because you're asleep doesn't mean your kidneys are.

You need to go to the bathroom because your body has been holding it in all night long.
