if his temp is above 103 he has a fever. I have a pet ear thermometer. get a cold pack and wrap it in a towel and put it on him that might help some. you can get the pet ear thermometer at petco. it's a little on the expensive side but it's better than sticking a thermometer up his butt.

Cats normal body temperature is from 100 to 103 degrees Farienheit. You can check his temp. by getting a thermometer and some lubricant and sticking it up his butt...not very far...just a lil past the silver tip. Be sure to lube the thermometer up and you'll prob have to scruff him. If he has a fever you need to take him to the vet asap. And if he doesn't I would still call the vet and tell him the cat's symptoms to see if it warrants a vet visit...especially if he doesn't start acting normal within a day or 2.

Cats definitely do run fevers and the veterinarian is the best person to determine this. Veterinarians usually take rectal temperatures and anything hovering around the 40 C mark is a concern and indicates something is going on. There may be nothing you can do at home for this.

Yes, cats run fevers. It's a sign of infection or sickness. Lethargy (acting really calm) is also a sign of sickness. Cats can get dangerously sick very quickly. Get your cat to a vet!

Cats can have fevers, just like any warm blooded animal. Use a rectal thermomiter and look for high temperatures (like over 100). If your cat has been very active, or it is hot outside, you can expect their temperature to be high, but if there is no other reason for them to be hot and they are listless, they are most likely ill. Heres a website that has good info on this topic.

Your best bet is to take your cat to the vet. Only your vet can determine what is wrong with him. The vet can take his tempeture with a thermometer up his bum. As uncomfortable and unpleasant this may sound, is the only way for a vet to determine if he is running a fever.

Any time a pet acts not normal and doesn't eat or drink normally is a sign to us owners that he or she isn't well. Unless you are a vet yourself, the only way to determine if there is something wrong with it, is to take it to the vet for a check up.

Good luck to you and your cat! I hope he feels better soon! Pets are wonderful creatures that provide us with much love and companionship for years to come!

Yes, if his nose is dry then he might have a fever. Make sure there is plenty of water for him to drink, if he doesn't get better in a day or two take him to your vet.

Only a vet can determine if your cat is sick by taking a rectal termperature. Take the little guy to a vet as he doesnt deserve to suffer.
