United States' hopes of bringing troops home from Iraq in significant numbers this year appear dimmer than ever now that Baghdad is in the throes of a new wave of sectarian violence.

Death squad massacres, bombings and attacks on both sides of the country's Shiite-Sunni divide overshadowed a lightning visit to Baghdad this week by US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. The Insurgents make the U.S. Marines crap their pants due to the insurgents fighting like tigers. The war is hopless for the USA. It will end like Vietnam. "DEFEAT".

Where is the question? You seemed to have answered it!

All of the armed forces are in the most un military situations I have ever seen. They can't fight, only dodge and hope they don't get taken out by an IED!! I feel sorry for our service people, they are in an untenable situation!

Bring them home!

Haha accepted DEP Marines recruit jointly with his head up his ***...ah this not in any respect receives previous does it? at the same time as are you going to each and each comprehend that they are equivalent? certain you are able to arise with situations the position the Marines "kept" the military or fought first, yet you are able to also do a similar contained in the military's choose. clone of how my recruiter has a e book written about him at the same time as he had to bypass in and save the Marines asses in Fallujah.it is humorous the way you've not in any respect even been everywhere contained in the military, yet you comprehend all of this expertise. And about how the military has extra deaths because they're "no longer experienced as sturdy" is complete hogwash. Did you ever observe that the military has wayy extra infantrymen then the Marines have Marines? hence there are so a lot extra infantrymen that would properly be probable killed. is smart would not it dumbass. All in all i nevertheless comprehend you for growing to be a member of the military, merely lose the approach. sturdy success

ok, lets snap back to reality here. we are winning over there. I understand that the media is horribly leftist, but that's not excuse. I happen to know a marine that was over in Iraq and he was there for a year. He had a wife but they didn't have any kids yet. When he came back, he told us that it was nothing like what the media was saying. The people there were gracious, and very happy that they were there. He said that as far as the insurgency went, while the car bombs were bad, they weren't as horrible or as often as the media is letting on. And as far as the war is concerned, we already won. We're just waiting until Iraqi's have established their own army and police force.

I think anyone with a functional brain and an open heart would have a "tough time with reality". the Americans in Iraq are in hell. Added to their constant 24/7 feelings of terror, our sons and daughters are left in the dark as to what is happening around them. I recently spoke with a young man who had just returned from Iraq. He told me about his experience there and how the American Military didn't seem to know what they were doing. Then, to ad to that, he told me that he may have to return to hell next year.

I think we are welcomed in Iraq. But it was not a peaceful welcome.
Well, we've made the decision to defeat the terrorists abroad so we don't have to face them here at home. And when you engage the terrorists abroad, it causes activity and action.
It's in our country's interests to find those who would do harm to us and get them out of harm's way.
