Yes, I have been to the Dead Sea. It looks like a huge lake rather than see because you can see Jordan at other end. And yes you can really float on the water....No matter if you are a good swimmer and want to make a deep dive into water....you can ot do that OR if you do not know swimming and simply jump into 50 feet deep water you will float on the top like a airtube !!

Yes , but in reality you can float in any water. Its just easier there because salt water is denser than the water that is composed in our bodies. Also the Great Salt Lake in Utah, USA is another Dead Sea remnants of an ancient fresh water inland sea that covered much of the Western United States.

Well personally i have never been there, but yes you can float on the water because the water is so heavily concentrated with salt that the density of the salt water is more dense than that of your body. Sense you have a lesser density then you can float. But make sure you drink alot of water because you will get dehydrated in the water because of osmosis but thats a different question. :)

I have never been there, but have seen that it is quite dense. It my geography book there were pictures of people being able to float nearly on top of the water and reading newspapers without getting them wet. It was impressive.
