Israel appears to have lost it's mind over 2 hostages, invadeing Lebanon, killing innocent people who have nothing to do with Hezbolah taking the Jewish soldiers hostage, destroying property, and making the middle east region even more unstable.

Are two lives worth all those others who are getting injured and killed in Lebanon by Israel's military invasion?

I doubt Christ would have been crusified if the Jewish people cared as much for Our Lord.

Colorado:
No shred of evidence Istael is killing innocent people in Lenanon? I suppose those Lebonese children their dragging out of the rubble are "stand in's." You're a fool!

hey, what's the deal with the Lakota declaration of war against anyone adopting your spiritual practices?

But to answer your question, the Jews were a subjugated people under the Romans during the time of Jesus. Now the Israelis have their own country that they've had to defend tooth and nail since the day it was formed. It's not just the 2 hostages. It's 60 years of violence.

and can we say the same thing over the WTC and what we did in Afganistan and Iraq?

I want to say something about glass houses and stones here.

You have to remember though that in Christ day He was not accepted as the promised messiah of Israel but instead was seen as someone claiming to be equivalent to Jehovah God and many, including the religious leaders, were out to have Him killed for His statements. They failed to see and understand their own prophecy's. Also many in the Jewish leadership may not have wanted to yield their power over to Jesus. Even to today they seek their promised Messiah.

Concerning the abduction of the three solders (one at first then two others) this was not the sole reason for Israel's actions but it was a justifiable reason for them to attack Hezbollah which was elected as the leadership of Lebanon. It has to do with a lot more though and was a coming storm. The abduction of the solders and the firing of the rockets into Israel was just the excuse Israel needed to do what it felt it had to do to preserve it's interest and land. Unfortunately innocent people are killed along with combatants but many times because the combatants hide in with innocent people. Which is worse those that attack the combatants and inflict collateral damage and innocent deaths or those that purposely put themselves next to the innocent people to hide and try and shield themselves knowing that the innocent people will be killed also?

Additionally realize that Israel is targeting combatants and military targets whereas Hezbollah is firing rockets that have no accuracy and firing them right into heavily populated civilian and innocent areas not knowing or caring where they land. The reason is that in their mind ANY Jew is a target and no Jew deserves to live. Israel pulled settlements back from Lebanon and has attempted to give land back and live with the people of Lebanon. The people of Lebanon voted to put into power the very people that want to terminate and kill all Jews.

First of all: Jesus lived in a primitive time that had no knowledge of those things that we take for granted thousands of years later. Primitive times/primitive people! To question their actions of so long ago is total foolishness. As for the actions of the Jewish State of Israel....well you take a small example of an outrageous act and accuse them of an overkill reaction. This back and forth has been going on for so long that it should be more correctly compared to the straw that breaks the camels back! Stop looking at the single straw as the culprit and focus on the huge bail of hay!

There was nothing resembling universal agreement in Jesus' time (or, for that matter, now) that he was a messenger whose beliefs (or corpus) were worth fighting for, so it isn't surprising that basically he was done in by a lynch mob.
Israel has much the same ethos as the United States Marine Corps: you don't leave your people behind. Anyone who kidnaps an Israeli, or abets or tolerates those who do, deserve everything that they get. And this attitude is by no means limited to Israelis: years ago, an American named Pericardis was captured by a north African bandit named Raisouli. President Theodore Roosevelt said, "I will have Pericardis alive, or Raisouli dead." (He got Pericardis.)

They are two different causes.

Modern day Isreal: Jews say the territory belongs to them.

Ancient Israel: Levite priests say Jesus is gathering too many followers who are no longer doing what the priests command.

Your question is of a judgmental nature.

Jews are no different than any of the rest of us.

We have all been put here by God to learn the true meaning of love. They are doing it their way; we are doing it ours. Jesus asks us to love our neighbors. Jews are our neighbors. We need not think on this issue beyond this point.

Jesus did not ask us to judge the actions of our neighbors, in fact he cautioned us to avoid doing this at all cost.

Remember; judge not lest ye be judged.

He asks us only to love them.

When you deviate from this path he pointed out to us you do so at great peril to your salvation. Judgments path leads only downward. The path Jesus pointed out for us leads only upward toward our home where our father awaits our return.

Forget the judgmental nonsense you have been taught.

This is not being a Christian; it is being a bigot.

You hate bigots so why act like one.

Interesting that without a shred of evidence that you assume they are killing innocent people. In response to your question about whether two lives are worth it, no. One would be enough.

God's whole purpose for sending Jesus to live on Earth was the crucifixion, so that those who believe can nail their sins to the cross with Jesus and be free from the consequence of sin, which is spending eternity away from God. Followers of Jesus cannot be violent people. Jesus told them the reason why he had to die and although they were sad to see it happen, they knew it was God's plan to save his children.

You are being judgmental. Please don't do this. It was written hundreds of years earlier in the prophetic words of the prophets that Jesus would be crucified. He knew this was going to happen to Him. It was done so the heathen had a way to the Father and Son, for you and me. All through the Old Testament Jesus is described and what was to happen to Him and why it was to happen. Even a Roman leader washed his hands of it and told them to do what they would, being Scriptural accurate.

how would you feel if I came to your home and moved in, without your consent? and then I brought all my friends and we enjoyed your food, your property, and the best things that you had and while you went to work we laid around and partook of your labor? wouldn't you eventually say "enough is enough" and get law enforcement to remove us from YOUR property?
God promised Israel to his children, which are the Jews, and they are only taking back what is rightfully theirs. this war is prophetic, the Bible speaks of this war throughout the Bible.
