Sorry, stupid question again.

The "war" was over in about three weeks. What is happening now is a breakdown of civil order and until Iraq has a functioning army and police force again we have no option but to stay.

Simply saying the war is a mistake is pointless and a waste of energy, because its happened, and we now have to clear up the mess before we swan off back home.

Oh and by the way I do not believe that 60% of Americans are saying that.

If you have a protest march and a million people take to the streets to protest the war, that means that around 149 million people are not protesting it.

That kind of tells the story.

Going badly and wanting home are differnt subjects. As for a defeat the only major thing that is an obstacle are the rules of engagement and press. If none of those existed we would have whooped some serious ***. Also, the unsurgents don't care.

There you go again, using statistics you just pulled out of your azz. This war, if it rids the world of a few million fanatical nomads, is anything but a mistake! I won't let the koran, islam, or any fanatical arab dictate my life, or that of my family. I will gladly eliminate as many as I can, if for no other reason, in retaliation for 9/11. As each day passes, I see yet another reason to strengthen my resolve to destroy these people. It has nothing to do with oil, land, wealth or religion. It is becoming a seething hatred for arabs, in general. Do I sound like one of your 60%?

What % of Americans do you think I represent? Does my explanation of my feelings help explain, why so many of our young warriors volunteer to return to Iraq. They can't get enough of it. They want to see these fanatics, dead, and they just want to do their part to make this happen.

Say ERUDITE, there's a few people looking for you, I think they just want to talk.

yep. but were screwed cause we cant just pull out or else that place is gonna be ****** up for years. not that it isnt already. but i knew we should never have gone to war in the first place. at least with sadam there it was stable. sure he killed millions of people but do you know how many iraqis have died and are gonna die during this conflict? i bet its gonna be more than saddam ever killed. and dont forget about how many soldiers have died. its a couple thousand now isnt it?

Golgo-13 dont try to drag 9 11 into this it has nothing to do with iraq. different people different places.

and ill just say this cause i know that someone is gonna bring this up. i support the troops but i dont support the war. theres a difference.

No. 60% of people asked to participate in that particular poll (assuming the poll exists) think that. It can't be 60% of all Americans, because you didn't ask me. I'm an American. Oh, and thank you for the vote of confidence in my chosen profession.

Umm yes the terrorists know because that's they're goal, demean us and make us apathetic or unwanting, the more we're against the war the better it is for the terrorists... remember that people... 9-11 apparently means nothing to people anymore... you really don't care about what they did to those poor people? Thousands of Americans died.... and for what? Hatred. Hatred because we're mostly christians and because we're better off than them and we've adapted to modern life instead of focused on life 7,000 years ago...

But guess what, thanks to Jewish , and conservative controlled media, nobody gets that side of picture. All the media shows is that American people are behind their President, and can`t wait to destroy Iraq.Remeber, Bush and his geo-cons don`t want to look like they have done something wrong, and American people don`t like them anymore.

Why do you not know that most are not...must be "spouting" from yet another "liberal" poll....hhhmmmmmm???? The insurgents only know what they are told...much like you...that the "Americans" are in Iraq...go kill them. And thats fine for our military, kepps them (insurgents) there and not here...Brilliant tactic

insurgents? who knows...the war isnt going badly it is going exactly as planned...violence is allowed and i believe even instigated, by our own government to prolong our presence there....dont kid yourself we could end the violence there and wipe out the "insurgents" in a matter of days if we wanted to....
