you don't have to love her, just tolerate her, and hopefully get to a place where you can be friendly, if not friends. As long as she's not "poisoning" your kids, you can ignore a lot.

you just do you have to know who you are and you have to put inhtis place in your head you know she is a hypocrite so dont be surprised about the things she does and says! mine is the same way and we get along great only I know there is a limit to how far I will go with her and if it gets to be too much I just start saying things like "oh wow " "are you serious" "what"? you know what i mean? if you let her think she has you it will be okay cause only you'll know that it is the other way around ! you can't change who she is she is settled in her way and it is always easier for someone to say something but putting it to action is what the problem is you just maintain your self be respectable it will be okay

You will need to try to be strong enough not to let it affect you. You might never love her, or even like her. But you don't have to be best buddies. Try to keep even-tempered, don't complain about her to your spouse, as it puts them in the middle of two people they love.
Try your hardest to keep your cool, be yourself. If she has any sense at all she may eventually see that you love and care about her precious child, but if she is one of those perpetually jealous mothers, then you will never truly win.

Consider her life, what happened in her life and the people affected how she sees things. Maybe she's like my mom, and hasn't ever learned how to communicate concern and love, just criticism and nasty words that make you feel ten inches tall.

It is hard to love people who don't particularly like you, or hard to get along with. Pray for God's grace to strengthen you.
