Feeding your cat wet food is fine for them but it is not always good for the teeth in the long run. Feeding them human food does not contain the essential nutrients required for a cat. A high quality cat food would contain all that a cat needs nutritionally. Technically i would think that feeding him other types of food is harmful if he/she is not getting everything that they need so therefore it would be fair to say that it could shorten his/her life.

wet food damages their teeth
I worked at a shelter and a man brought in a "2year old cat" the vet tech looked at the cats teeth and said the man lied about the cats age, she was clearly 8 or 9... We called him up to cuss him out for lying but turns out all the cat ever ate was canned food and she was registered - he had the date of birth - she was 2 years old.
milk - hard on their tummies and the calcium is a problem causer in cats - it contributes to urinary tract problems
grocery store level (and wal mart) foods also shorten cats lives, the chemical preservatives, BHT, and BHA are dangerous, as is the chemical used to preserve the by-products

Wet cat food is ok. You need to feed her dry high quality kitty food too though to help her keep her teeth clean. Cats are lactose intolerant so milk is a bad idea. DO NOT FEED YOU CAT PEOPLE FOOD. It leads to obesity and some people food are poisonious to cats.

Surprisingly cats are actually lactose intolerant. They don't have the necessary enzyme to break it down, but they still drink milk because they like the taste. Limit how much dairy you give her otherwise she might have tummy upsets, but it probably won't shorten her life I don't think.
