Tell me what are the behavioral differences between men and women. Scientist says that there are only about 17% (nearby) jeans which behave the same in both sexs and rest behave differently and makes us different. What do you think are the differences between men and women. Any two or three would do and finally we can come to a conclusion (not necessarily lol)

Just tell me a situation and what a man and a woman would react on the same or use your imaginaiton which you are good at to quote the difference.

All answeres are welcome.

I see far more similarities than differences...and where did you get that statistic? (it is "genes," incidentally)

Main biological differences:
Women have higher pain tolerance
Women are "hardier," more likely to survive illness and injury
Women live longer
_____
A few cultural differences between the sexes:

Men are not as altruistic as women (socially, economically, sexually, medically, etc. Women will always give more of themselves, for their children, for their parents, for their communities, bordering on masochism)

Male-dominated science is less likely to recognize the symptoms of illness in a woman than in a man, and is more likely to dismiss a woman's concerns

Women communicate more and more clearly (use more adjectives, speak to friends with greater frequency and on subjects of greater intimacy, etc.)

Men are more violent

Women have greater problems with maintaining a positive self-image

Women are more self-depricating

I found a great article :
I'm Not a Mind Reader!
According to professor Legato, decoding the meaning of language appears to be easier for women who use both hemispheres of the brain, whereas men use one. Women are also more sensitive to non-verbal cues such as minor changes in facial expression. This makes them more likely to show empathy. They are also better than men in correctly interpreting facial expression.
Women are more likely to remember the detail of conversations or arguments whereas men often forget quite readily. Because men are less capable at interpreting a look or a facial expression, women may need to make more of an effort to say exactly what they mean.
Are Men Insensitive?
Men appear less able to fill the gaps in communication so even if a man picks up that not everything seems the way it should be and asks, 'what's wrong', if the woman says 'nothing', a man is more likely to accept the answer as true. When a man is upset they quite often turn in on themselves, so if a woman says, 'leave me alone', it is easily understood by a man and can be taken quite literally. Therefore, what can sometimes appear to be an insensitive act is actually the opposite, at least from a male perspective.
Time Builds Bridges
As women and men forge stronger relationships it becomes easier for them to understand one another. A lot of trial and error may be required to reach this point and understanding is still not the same as agreeing.

In my opinion no two people, men or women, will react the same way about anything but we all experience the same emotions, we just express them in different ways.

There may be only a 17% of the genes that behave similarly in men and women but I'll you something right now. The scientists that did this study are probably single and have NEVER been with a woman. Men will react in a basic manner to situations. Women will analyze, analyze and then analyze again to come to a solution in a situation. If you have any dealings with women you know what the hell I'm talking about. If you don't then you're in for a big surprise!!!

For the most part men and women are the same intellectually. In fact it can be said that women are smarter about a lot of things.

However the difference comes with emotion. When a problem presents itself to a woman the first thing that is triggered is her emotions. How she feels about this issue determines her response more than her logic. This is especially true if the problem involves someone she loves.

A man however has a somewhat more logical response. We are programmed to try to solve any problem presented to us and if there seems to be none we do get frustrated. But that does not stop us from trying.

These are generalities of course and does not hold true for all cases but is the biggest difference.

First of all men and women are as different as a dog and cat. Both the dog and cat have four legs, walk on all fours, and are mammals other then that....well you get the idea. If a problem enters someones life a woman will listen and give sympathy, a man will try to "fix" the problem and if he can't will feel shorted. There are plenty of books on the differences. Good luck.

night and day would best explain it.
women are nurtures, men are reproducers, women sensitive (to much) men are sensible, women will end 20yr friendships over a blouses, men can beat the crap out of each other and shake hands when its over
men. the only thing i think a woman and man will agree upon is " dont trust your daughter with one.

men only think with one hafe of there brain at a time, women think with both, this is why women are better at doing more things at the same time.
