Beginnings are usually scary and endings are usually sad, but it’s the middle that counts. You have to remember this when you find yourself at the beginning

It's better not to think about it. Listening to music will help you feel better or do something you're interested. If you just think about your unhappy moment, only negative thoughts will come to you. That makes you feel even worse. Meditation will help you feel better too. You know everything depends on how we look at world. Depression isn't a good thing. Everthing has cause and effect. If you can accept this, you won't feel sorry when you face up with anything that displeases you. To sum up, I wanna say just relax. Try to live happily no matter how big is your problem. If you feel sad, the people beside you will not be happy too. You help others to help yourself. There's a saying " we are not growing any younger but older, that each year brings us but one year closer to the grave." So why do you want to waste your time feeling upset? Try to do something meaningful. Depression is really bad. It loses your energy. Be strong and value every moment of your life.

Remember that there were millions of possibilities of who would be born when all those sperm connected with the egg. YOU are the one that emerged. Do you realize how special that makes you? There were like 40 billion possibilities of someone else being born. It also means that you have a great responsibility to human kind. I read this in a book once when I was very sad. It helped me a great deal and I hope it helps you, also.
You can choose to be a happy person or a woe is me kind of person. Even when bad things happen, you have to remember that it's not the hand you're dealt but how you play the cards.

Express it,.... nevermind distracting yourself and avoiding it, you should record yourself in that state of mind and watch it when the feeling or your mood changes . Then you"ll feel SO stupid and you"lll hope no one watches it. Any time after that you should be feeling kinda silly whenever your sad . I did that once with a tape recorder I was bitching about my pants for some reason, and I spoke my witheld frustration into it,.... Thank god I lost that ****, in fact I regret recording it, but anyway that was 1 more proof to myself that emotions make us look stupid when taken to the extreme.
There is more but ,......... nah!!!!!!!!

Remember those things or moments in your life which makes you happy. engaged yourself in any good hobby. be comfortable. behave naturally. If nothing works then let your sadness come out in words and tears and let it go out of you. this will help you. but don't convert it in your anger. this will harm yourself then to others.

Say things that you like about yourself to yourself. Relax all your muscles and pretend you're in a special place that is all your's. Then slowly come back to where you really are. This always helps me to interrupt my depression--if I do it. Good luck!!
