I need a hair straightener that doesn't cost too much money but works effectively. Also, I don't want to fry my hair every time I use it.

Solia, Sedu, Chi is good but usually breaks after one year.
Make sure you get a ceramic iron. I use solia cuz the tourmaline plates don't overheat and burn, and you can use it on damp hair.

well umm my best friend has a straighner from CHI and its about 100 sumthin dollars its under 120 thats 4 sure! Everytime i use it i have 2 run it through my hair twice and my hair is straight! I have waves and sumtimes curly hair and it can seriously make ur hair really really straight! So now that i have money im goin out and im gonna buy one for myself! I have been wastin my money on those cheap 20/30 dollar straighners and then after like 6 months or a year they dont heat like they did when u first bough them and they are just a pain! Think about it! Do u wanna buy somethin thats cheaper/ breaks down possibly more/ and doesnt straighten as good or somethin taht has a warranty ( she took it 2 spain and the straigner burnt cuz the switch is different/ went 2 the store and got a new replacment) and straightens your hair really good! MAke a good decision! ANd it also is good for your hair! And my stylist uses CHI on me! and we are talkin about professional hair stylists here! You can use it everyday bc my friend uses it everyday and it wont do so much damage 2 ur hair!

A Babyliss Pro TT flat iron, it has a temp control and ceramic plates and to me is better than the Chi. You can find one on EBay for about $60. I'm a hairdresser and my cost was $89 at a hair show a few months ago. Then I found them on EBay and that is where I tell all my clients to go.Just be sure not to use it everyday and always use products to protect your hair.Good luck, I hope this helps.

You needn't spend that much to buy a nice straightener. Look for online reviews and choose one with ceramic plates. Sally Beauty supply has some really nice ones for around 30-40 dollars if you have one in your area.

I got the maxiglide for like, 70 dollars on tv and it works amazing. And it comes with a gel thing to protect your hair from humidity and a spray to make it shiny. It comes with a lot of other stuff too but I won't list them all. Point is, that thing's a magician.
