There is no cure at this time. Go see a doctor and they can give you prescriptions for creams that will help. You can also go to a spa and get facials which help. The Red Door Spa has a facial just for people with rosacea.

I was diagnosed last year with rosacea and I was prescribed tetracycline and noritate cream. It didn’t really do much for me. This past May I ran into someone I knew with rosacea and she looked symptom free. I asked her about it and she said by chance she had a really bad sinus infection and her doctor gave her azithromycin or (Z-Pack) for it. (its the antibiotic you only take for 5 days instead of 14 days) She said it totally cleared up her rocacea so she got an extended prescription for it and she has been symptom free for 4 years. She said initially every few months she would notice a little flair up and take another Z-pack for about 8 months and then it was totally gone.
Of course I wanted to try it and I did this past June. I also have had no rosacea symptoms. It took about 10 days and my rosacea was gone!!!!!! I am so excited. It's like a cure. (Only a rosacea sufferer can understand my enthusiasm).
My rosacea was not too severe since I had only had it for about a year but I had small bumps and rough feeling skin along with very red streaks especially on my right cheek. I have noticed after 6 weeks of no symptoms that my cheeks are starting to look a little pink again so I ‘m taking another dose of azithromycin as of yesterday. I hope this information can be passed along and possibly help others.
Keep in mind that z-pack is not a known remedy for rosacea so your doctor might be sceptical about it, but it REALLY REALLY worked for me.

You can't get rid of rosacea, but you can control it. Go to a dermatologist. It may take several tries to find the med that works for you. I am using a sulfur based wash and Finacea cream and it has totally stopped the breakouts.

I have had rosecea for about 5 years and have been seeing a dermatologist for it. He would have given me tetracycline, but after one capsule I broke out in blotches (allergic to it). He then prescribed metrocream. Cleared it up in two weeks. It has not flared up that badly since, but if I get overheated or stressed my face turns red temporarily, but I do not get the rashy appearance. It is my understanding there is no cure at this time. My doctor has me apply a thin smear of metrocream on my face at bedtime to prevent an outbreak. I think it also comes in lotion form. It may help you. Good luck.
