wow, I was just thinking about these things this morning because of the plethera of ignorant questions regarding evolution and creationism on here lately. I am a Christian, I read the Bible. I have read and listenend to much scientific discussion on it.
My main problem is people that study evolution to the exclusion of EVERYTHING else and make ignorant statements about what other people believe or the implausibility of other ideas without having researched them at all. This goes both ways.
Because of my research I not only believe in creationism but I do not believe that evolution was the means that God used to create the world.
Though I do not agree with your theories on things, I do commend you for at least trying to educate yourself regarding all the possibilities- though I think that even though some people do this- they start out with a bias and try to disprove something without giving it consideration- but they can say they at least researched it - so my question is, "is that really research?"
I have considered all possibilities and evolution is just not a plausible theory- and ironicly- there are some prominent evolutionists that agree.
I do have to apologize if I sounded like I was rambling here. It is probably toooo early in the morning for me to be on here :)

I was force fed the bible, that's why I know it pretty good and am not christian anymore, I read everything I can too
here is a link to a very interesting program that was recently on TV in Britain, it's about people that got a heart transplant and inherited personality characteristics from the donor, so some scientists now believe that memory may also be in the heart not only in the brain, some of the medical field shown in this totally disagree, just like some bible thumpers seem to be so narrow minded

Well, I do not know how much you have read, but from what I am gathering from pre-history, and we have to get out of our traditional biases of our past and think about how our ancestors were very smart and creative; I somewhat believe they were as smart as we are, just not the accumulated knowledge we have. And if we start asking about beliefs (religion) in regards to pre-history we find that people were beginning to get into philosophy, and thus religion. One of the first ideas in regard to religion was animism (or everything has a spirit). And today we look down on such an idea, but this was a very different way of thinking that had been going on for thousands, if not millions of years before that. The idea that the world was something more than what you could see or touch or taste. That the senses can easily proved illusion; things move as if they were us in another way. I think religion is just one of the first kinds of scientific inquiry, because it was, and we haven't given up questions since those days 50,000 to 10,000 years ago.

I am Christian and read the bible, and also have studied evolution. Remember that was put forth as a theory before folks realized how enormously complex the reproductive process is (before the knowledge of DNA, etc.) and before folks had any idea just how complex an eye, for example, is. Now, there is little to support the theory, but the lies keep coming in order to finance and keep the theory alive b/c most folks haven't the time nor the desire to learn the truth. Read everything you can by Ken Ham - try www.answersingenesis.org and you'll be amazed. God bless you. ~Nisa

Yup I am a Christian and that is what I do also. I don't knock science either cause there is so much that we don't know that it would be silly to knock it. I believe in the string theory and the quantum theory and if you go to www.hiddenmeanings.com there is a whole lot of other interesting things to wonder about on that site. I too read everything. Anything is possible.

Hey buddy, you don't have to be so sour about others religions just because you are not part of it. Instead of waisting your time reading so much about Christians why don't you go to get more knowledge about your own religion?....I guess your religion does not fulfill you as much as some others religions does to others people. You get so jealous of seeing people happy with themselves and their religion that decided to use the excuse to offend and make ridiculous comments just to keep yourself surrounded by people different from yours because even you can't support them anymore.
If you like evolution so much, try to learn its bases. Evolution is stated on improvement, so why don't you adapt its philosophy for yourself and try to be a better person?
For some primitive people, primitive and low feelings like disrespecting others are those only ones nurture for its species, on this case, your species.
Chritianism and Catholicism peharps are the most evolutioned versions of those primitive religions ones. This is a good correlation about the Evolution and Christianity.
If you read everything you can get your hands on, try to read less and undertsnad more about what your are reading. Going around talking nonsense and tells are biblical words just make people think on 4 things: Or you are not smart enouth to undertsand your readings, or you are an ignorant or you are just plain stupid or you have only read ****.

I've lived with controlling "Christian" parents for 17 years, going to church every Sunday, and listening to their relentless "lessons" on piety.
I probably have forty IQ points on my parents, and I feel somewhat strongly against Christianity for the counterproductive fantasies it encourages.
And yes, I've had a good portion of the Bible read to me through many sermons and lessons. I have a far better understanding of the ideas of Christianity than most Christians, adult or minor. I could answer most questions about Christian doctrine as a Protestant minister could. But I escaped brainwashing through arrogance, and I can't wait for freedom from the prison of my parent's house.

Yes, I have read the Bible and was raised going to church but when it came down to what my beliefs were, they didn't match up with what had been dumped in my head.
I think what we need to do is forget all the dieties and try to extract the good things in all the religions. That's what I try to do at least.
When it comes to evolution, I've no problem with it.

there r many gaps concerning the creation-evolution issue. i used 2 be christian and used 2 read the bible, so i can tell u creation is basically based on faith, the same goes 2 evolution, i've read a lot on it and u will always find these "missing links".
4 me creation is as fictional and fanciful as evolution... i don't even care about where we came from... Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero... Seize the day without worrying about tomorrow

I am Christian, and I occasionally read the Bible.
