whats the difference between windows xp home edition and windows xp professional?and which is better?also how to i completely erase everything from my computer including windows?i have a reinstallation cd.i want to start fresh and erase everything and reinstall.thank you for your answers and time.

well if u are just a simple user using XP at home then home edition is sufficient for u..if u r a programmer then pro is better cos u can do ur prog and other things very easily there. with pro u can also do web prog on ur comp itself making it server and client at the same time.
