Why does my dogs head get warm when I pet her?

This happens when I pet any part of her....not just her head.....

A dog's normal temperature is 101 degrees -102 degrees. Since a human's normal temperature is 98.6, your dog would just feel warmer to you.

Although, if your dog gets extremely exited when you pet him, his temperature might rise slightly above normal.

it's called friction from you rubbing on the dogs fur
