The originial Diet Coke is sweetened with Aspartame (nutrasweet). Coke Zero is sweetened with a blend of aspartame and acesulfame potassium. Coca-Cola's position is that the Coke Zero is supposed to taste more like the original Coke, but without calories or sugar

Diet Coke is made w/nutrasweet.
Coke Zero is made from a combination of nutrasweet and splenda. Coke Zero will taste slightly sweeter and for a hard core diet coke girl like me...it isn't as good because it is like regular coke.

They are quite different to diet soda drinkers.

Coke Zero tastes almost like Coke Classic, theyjust sweeten it w/ aspartame instead of sugar/corn syrup.

Diet Coke is also sweettened w/ aspartame, but it has it's own (funky-IMO) flavor.

If the Coke co. would only put Splenda in Coke Zero, they coudl change the world!

Diet Coke and Coke Zero taste different to me, so I figure they use a different sugar substitute in them.

Diet coke has a bit of sugar (less then normal coke), but says that it is caffeine-free.
