Being here on business from the Midwest we have signs on the road to caution of deer crossing the roads......was shocked to see San Diego actually has signs showing caution to illegals running across the road......more - we almost hit one going thru the mountains to Tecate (setting up a plant for a fortune 500 company)....soooo I reported it to a border patrol cop.....he said this is an ongoing occurance. I saw quite a few being busted in the mountains on my way to Tecate. My hat is off to the Border Patrol guys and gals.....BUT....they claim they come here for jobs????....I think thats bull...there are available jobs paying good wages in tecate....I know that for fact.....Our company is actually paying for bus rides to find folks to work at the plant OUTSIDE of Tecate because there isnt enough folks there to work all the jobs.....

To add a few details here - As an Engineer I only wish that we weren't going global, but to hold a job there aren't too many choices. Also to address the wages there - I talk to the Mexican workers and they are HAPPY at what they get for money and benifits, they claim they are now living well......

Heyleylov - The pay is at many levels...a tech position can be achieved rather easily within a year at a pay rate of 25k (american dollars) within in a year with our training...and I have been there 34 times in 3 years setting up the plants, I goto there stores to check it out and talk to the folks there....its a damn good wage for their economy....and now are bussed into Tecate from Tijuana due to lack of employees !! They even admit it has NOTHING to do with employment or wages. It is American people that bought into the poor me syndrome.......

Do you think it may be the fact that they would actually have to work?, or are the benefits less than they are used to here in the states? By benefits I mean all the free public assistance they receive above and beyond any employers benefits package.
I do not believe that a company can compete in the global marketplace when there are so many barriers in the way to attract good, hardworking, loyal, employees.
The vast majority of the migrants have become spoiled rotten by the handout system here in America. I believe that is what they are crying around about. The gravy train is leaving the station, and they are missing the boat.
Perhaps your company should try to attract employees from outside the local towns, there are plenty of hardworking Americans who would probably be willing to work. Too bad the company had to outsource to remain competitive. Come back to America and pay a decent wage, We will work, and the "MADE IN AMERICA" label can be affixed to your product again.

What kind of business is there in Tecate? Plus The people crossing the border are most likely not from the border, the people in the border have an easier time of getting papers. I am betting that the money they would make in one of your factories is nothing compared to our minumum wage! Which is sad.

All I know is that if all the illegals went home then the entire southern States would be bankrupt in a month. These people do the jobs that Americans won't do and they are not taking employment away from Americans so what is the fuss about. There would not be near as many illegals in the US if Americans would quit giving them disgustingly low paying jobs for huge profits.

Illegal supports are people who cannot give away their freedoms and rights to another country fast enough - that's what they have no reference point for they think America will stand on it's own with no effort from them until it's too late.

My WWII vet stepdad told me that Americans have no idea what it's like to be invaded from a foriegn country and that the taste of freedom is precious.

The more they come - the more you'll see those erode.

The name of the game is 'Give Up.' The side that gets the other one to wear out first wins. You aren't naive enough to think the Mayor of Hazleton PA can't go to the bathroom without getting an earfull to suspend our constitution to the will of another country, do you?

If a democracy is a self-perpetuating job creator just because people want to work, why do our jobs go everywhere else except here?

What a Croc - anything for the ultimate prize - to get you to willingly give up your sovereignty, rights and freedom. To those that fight for it, you'll get what you deserve leave us freedom loving people out of it.

i worked in Saltillo, Coahuila Mexico for 3 years, also for a big muti global company....that company paid for food and transportation, but at the end of the week those guys were making about 100 bucks a week...the most senior ones maybe 400 bucks..true there expenses are cheaper in mex than here, but if they make 10 bucks an hour and work 40 hours a week here, thats 400 bucks. I think thats what it boils down to, i could be wrong.

Well from an anti illegal perspective, I would not say we refuse to debate this fact, it is simply irrelevant.

Protecting our borders is a Constitutional duty, and in the post 9/11 world a matter of national security.

I don't care if the illegals coming across brought with them a truck load of gold to spend in this country, or whether they do or do not provide a benefit to our country. Whether they are coming for jobs whether they have jobs in their home country is completely irrelevant to the discussion.

What was there to debate? The plant is outside of of tecate? That would still have the "Illegals" crossing They may risk it once but I doubt that they want to risk it more.

They refuse to debate that because they wont be able to call any one a racist...That seems to be the only thing they can say to legitimate arguments. According to the PEW Hispanic research center the vast majority of illegals from Mexico were gainfully employed before arriving in America...They are here for hand outs...You know it...I know it...We all know it...

fairly plenty each and every thing you stated is controversial and shows how insane partisanship makes you. i ought to in all probability come across a correlation to all and sundry of those, no longer in basic terms with Bush, yet with Reagan, and Clinton, and Nixon, and everyone else. Do you recognize you're insane? Or is it only such as you notice all and sundry else as insane and you are the only one which "gets it"?
