If a man want my phone number because he likes me I take that as a compliment. It is not rude at all it is only normal for him to ask.

Yes, just because he likes you doesn't mean she likes you back...So find that out first or else it can be rude.Unless your in a club then it is half way expected because or the atmosphere.

it depends on how long we know each other and if he's my friend..and he likes me..then i don't think it's rude. it's ok to exchange numbers with friends regardless of their genders

Actually, it depends on how he's asking. If he's nice about it, it's fine. If he's a total conceited jerk, he's definitely not getting it.
