Is the response commensurate to the offense? No. There is no reason to bomb an entire country for the kidnapping of two soldiers. However, Israel is hardly using this incursion into Lebanon for the purposes of administering justice on the basis of that offense alone. They are using the kidnapping as an excuse to settle old scores and to permanently injure Hezbollah and force them to disarm. I think it is about high time that they did force Hezbollah into an all out confrontation, because despite Israel’s constant accommodation and forfeiting of surrounding territories, their adversaries keep asking for more and using coercive tactics that are unacceptable.

I think Israel has every right to use force of this nature. The only reason why they waited for two soldier’s to get kidnapped is so they can appease the rest of the politically correct world, who would not have allowed this sort of attack without some sort of dramatic provocation from Hezbollah. Hezbollah fell into the trap, and now they are getting what they deserve.

I feel bad for Lebanon because they are a budding democracy that has endured a lot of pain the past 30 years. But terrorists are conducting operations out of her, so Israel has to do what it has to do.

They have killed thousands of civivlians in the past, and now they 're killing dozensof innocents with missiles and artillerry. When will they learn to respect human life?
