Why do Muslims Get Upset About Mohamed's Pic Being Displayed But Not Jesus Cartoon On South Park Show?

I though Muslims Love All Prophets But When It Comes To Jesus They Dont Care How He Is Trashed. Hypocrite Muslims, why arent you making a fuss about it? Why arent you burning down Embassies and stuff? isnt he a highly regarded prophet of yours?

By the way I am a Muslim and find these type of religion zealots stupid and hypocrites in my religion. I am sure that Prophet Mohammed(P.B.U.H) would have been against burning down Embassies and stuff if he was around. Likewise, Our Beloved Prophet Jesus should also have the respect and we should protest against this as well but not like the animals that burn and kill people. Stupid Stupid aghhhhhhhh.

IN ISLAM THERE IS PROHIBITION ON MAKING ANY LIFE IMPRESSIONS. so they objected Muhammad's(peace be upon him) picture.we even oppose other prophet's pictures , even a photograph of human being or animal. u con ask any Islamic scholar around you. but here comes the gravity of opposition an animal or human being's photo is now-a-days not at all opposed. a picture oc any prophet or farishta[angel] is opposed a li'll bit. the pic of Muhammad's(peace be upon him) was opposed with highest gravity because he is the last messenger of ALLAH[GOD] and founder of Islam. I'll give you an example if some boys are making fun of a person unknown to u , u will probably get away. if it is ur frnd then u'll try 2 take him away. if it is ur bro/sis then u'll fight for that. did u get it now.......

Yes, they thought of Jesus as a prophet the same as Muhummad. But Muhummad explicitly told them not to make pictures of him, because he was afraid they would turn his image into an idol the same way that the pagans did previously. Anyway, they revere Muhummad more because they think of him as an extension of the teaching in the same way that Jesus was an extension of prophets before him. Plus, he's the one who actually convinced them that the One God was the true one. I would probably praise him more too, if I were a Muslim.

But that whole cartoon thing wasn't a religious battle anyway--why would they burn down American embassies over something Denmark did? It was political, not religious. The cartoons were an excuse, not a reason.

That is a very good point, I brought it up to my friends when our college published the muhammad cartoons in their newspaper (the daily illini) and all the muslims in our school were outraged. Muslims believe Jesus was a great prophet second only to Muhammad. However when Jesus is portrayed they do not care. The hypocrisy is so evident, and the irrationality over pictures of Muhammad was way too out of hand-- the people in Denmark who drew him were given death threats and rewards were there for those who killed them

First of all
In our religion prophets in general can't be photoed or drowned by any shape or anyways and that comes from the full respect to all prophets of Allah.
we do get angry of being Jesus on a cartoon display but if Christians don't mind being this happened so why should we in addition of being the maker of this cartoon mostly christian.
but we (as Muslims) don't photo or drew Jesus or any of the prophets.
we do beleive in jesus and all Allah prophets.
From all above how you expect us to stand watching this with no response specially of being those pix are aimed to sarcast our prophet and our relegeon.

OK, first of all i dont see Christians getting all angry about those pics, if Christians dont care u expect muslims to care more?its true that muslims love Jesus, but u cant expect them to get so angry about Jesus pics. If there were pics of prophet moses then would Christians be offended? no way. besides the prophet muhamed(PBUH) pictures were more publicized than the jesus pics, so less ppl knew aout them. how many ppl in the middle east watch south park huh? you still expect them to get angry?

THEM BIAS???.. its ok for you people to insult Mohamed...you call it freedom of speech... but u get into trouble if you denounce the holocast... talk about being bias... try publishing an article in school saying the holocaust didnt happen..or make fun of it...see what happens..

Good question. I thought they were peaceful. I know we Christians don't need to defend Christ the Son of God, he'll have his vengeance. I was talking about this earlier, and the Scripture clearly states, "truth pierces like a sword" my point is people get so upset when confronted with truth they can't run from themselves so they become defensive. But when there's a false slander, why get so bend out shape, you're upset for a while then you get over it sooner then when you can't change the truth.

I'm not religious, but I will try to use logic.
Jesus pictures were created by Christians and displayed in a country where Christians ( who believe in and love Jesus) rule.
Mohammed Pecs were done by Christians. Their work appeared to be fueled by hatred.

Well you get mad when they make fun of Jesus don't you? And they get mad when they make fun of Muhammed..Jesus probably isn't as important to them as Allah(God) or Muhammed is. I think it's funny really.

And just as a side note for the person who posted first. Christians killed people too so shut up.
