The Christian disapproval of gays has become almost fetishised to the exclusion of so many world problems.
Can you perhaps suggest some more pressing things for Christians and for all of us to be focussing on today.

Jim Darwin, Kayen-zy-ess you mean!
Yes, it's threatening and physically dangerous to be gay in some places. Mostly cities are the only places gays can live without the daily abuse and bemusement and it's probably why I live right in city central.
It's a jungle out there Jim..."What! us related apes?"

dear christians hate everyone. I was a christian for a long time and I assumed that thier religion was of peace and love. guess what? i watched my family both christians of differing sects tear each other apart. christianity is evil point blank period. I wish people whould stop trying to defend it or stop assuming its a religion of love and peace.

I have not in any respect considered a Christian being terrible to someone that became gay, the bible tells us in the different case; yet thats beside the point. If someone you comprehend is a Christian comes up and starts putting you down, you ask him what would Jesus do. I have time-honored Christian that struggled or do conflict with this. They love the Lord, and comprehend him as their savior, and pray that issues will substitute for them. except you're gay for interest, it is something that has come across you, you won't be able to do something about it, clone of at the same time as someone dies or you do something incorrect, it isn't on objective, you would possibly want to no longer help it. i have self belief it is faulty to guage those who're gay a lesser indavidual, or any a lot less significant then a fellow Christian. And merely to inform you, i became requested the question, if there became a Christian and a house asexual, and also you probably did not comprehend both of them, and also you had to chosen one to stay and one to die, which one would you chosen. I chosen the homestead asexual everytime. because i comprehend my fellow Christians are waiting for lack of life because they comprehend its the begining of something more desirable. And on the different hand, i do not comprehend what the different guy would imagine.

christianity has caused the world a great injustice. just look at some of the hateful and ignorant posts. Brianna you may have a point christianity is the problem of the world not homosexuality.

There are many Christian groups who are out there focusing on world hunger, poverty, diseases, orphan care, etc so they are doing God's work among His people.

to what mamma mia said most of the christians that help the poor expect them to be converted to christianity. their intentions are not pure.

There are many Christian groups who are out there focusing on world hunger, poverty, diseases, orphan care, etc so they are doing God's work among His people. You don't hear much of this, as the media picks and chooses what it will focus in on but that doesn't mean the other works of mercy are neglected.

A lot of things should be important to Christians -

evangelism
working against poverty/hunger
comfort those suffering with disease
praying/working for justice
caring for orphans/widows/the elderly
the integrity of the family (work against divorce, by choice single parents, alternative families that exist by choice)

yeah but if your in kansas and don't watch cnn and the only problem in your world is "no way, i heard martha's boyfriend's older brother went away to the university of kansas and became a homosexual, we have to get our bibles and get up there and try and save him" stuff like world hunger or war just doesnt phase you

you are thinking like a new yorker and not like one of them

think

they live in places where basically everyone is a white christian heterosexual

if someone is gay, its the only drama they have in their world

The only focus on it is that you demand we deal with you.
Christians and churches do not go out in the streets and look for homosexuals to condemn or convert. We leave you alone.you are the ones waving your arms making challenges.

We should pray for those who are gay and try and set an example to them, and we should pray for our President. Instead of putting others down cause the sin they do we need to focus on the sin we do and try and correct it.
