None! What's the point of having a coffee if you're going to ruin the flavour of it with sugar?

It's a matter of personal taste. I prefer about a teaspoon, enough to take the "edge" off but not overwhelm the coffee taste (and some half-and-half).

Whatever suits your taste. If you don't mind bitterness, you don't need sugar. If you like sweet, you need more. Personally, I like it to be sweet, so I use 2 to 3 teaspoons of sugar.

I like my coffee sweet so I use 3 teaspoons of sugar.
Add a little bit of flavored creamer or half-and-half.

Absolutely none at all.
Sugar spoils the sophisticate, slighty bitter taste of pure coffee.
And it totally destroys the taste of tea, as well.
