Christians are you passionately in love with Jesus Christ? Christ loves you in the most passionate sense He is not willing to share you with all other things. Can you say that your life is a love affair with Christ? I want mine to be.

This is not meant as a sexual love. Father Andrew Greely wrote that Christ loved us with a jealous love with a posessive love.

I'm not saying not to share love. I am saying that He must come first in your life. That nothing else must try to take his place.

Implicitly, at least, all the works of St. John of the Cross speak to us of Jesus Christ. John was passionately in love with Jesus Christ, the center, the focal point, of his life. He writes in the "Prayer of a Soul Taken with Love":

You will not take from me, my God, what you once gave me in your only Son, Jesus Christ, in whom you gave me all I desire.

Mine are the heavens and mine is the earth. Mine are the nations, the just are mine, and mine the sinners. The angels are mine, and the Mother of God, and all things are mine; and God himself is mine and for me, because Christ is mine and all for me. (Sayings of Light and Love, 26 & 27)

Beautiful.
Debra, I think God is using you in a very powerful way.
Have you considered writing as a career?

Yes we are to Love our Lord God with all our Heart Minds and Souls sometimes we don't realize how the love of things gets in our way of really being Blessed like oh i sure love my new car or isn't this new CD just the greatest and sure sounds good in my new stereo. The Lord should come first in our life's. How often do we include Jesus in our conversations when we are talking with friends and family. Like hey you wanna know what Jesus showed me today Jesus should shine thru us and when people look at us they should be seeing him and if they don't then there is something wrong with our relation ship Don't hide Jesus under a Rock

what on earth are you on about?
You want a passionate relationship?
A love affair?

He is not willing to share us with ANYTHING ELSE?
Does this mean that anyone married can not be a Christian? Must be if he won't share us with anything else.
I think that his(Jesus) approach to preaching, was limited to
promoting the KIngdom of God. Supporting that with the various miracles that showed those alive at the time, that when God's Kingdom rules over the earth, God will give his son (Jesus) power and authority to intervene on the behalf of mankind.

I am not sure what you mean that he is not willing to share you with other things. Do you mean that we should not love others such as friends and family or helping others. Helping
others and living a good life show more love of Christ than sitting in a church, preaching what not to do, and telling people they are sinners. Christ went out and helped people and gave them hope and love. Doing those things in your life IS loving Christ.

It's ok to be in love with Christ, but it's not a sexual thing, and passion is considered 'sexual'. Your question seems to be referencing more to a boyfriend type relationship other than a father/daughter relationship. You may need to work on that.

A love affair with Christ? No.

Plenty of love in my life, but it always involves real people. Or sometimes cats.

YESSS! I'm really REALLY REALLY in LOVE with JESUS!!!

Don't ever leave me, Jesus. I couldn't stand to see you go.
My heart would simply snap, my Lord, if you walked on out that door.
I promise I'll be good to you, and keep you warm at night.
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, why don't we just... shut off the lights.

I love you, Jesus. I want you to walk with me
I'll take good care of you baby. Call you my baby, baby!
You died for my sins, and you know that I would die for you, right?
What's the matter, baby? You tremble at Jesus, baby!
Your love... is my life! You know when I’m without you, there's a black hole in my life! Oo-ohhh!
I wanna believe. It's all right, 'cause I get lonely in the night and it's up to you to
Save me! Jee...sus...bay-by!

I wanna get down on my knees and start pleasing Jesus! I wanna feel his salvation all over my face!

YEAH! PRAISE JESUS!

Well, I am most certainly devoted to Jesus and and I know Him as my God and Savior. I'm not sure what you mean by 'passionatley'. Because the term itself sounds sexual.

I want mine to be too, but if I answer honestly too many times I place other things ahead of Him. Prayer and bible reading is not where I want it to be and often too many times I come up with excuses. Many times I feel I am more of the world then of His.
