I was really hungry and thirsty and asked the minister for a second helping. He gave me a dirty look. What's up with that?

Uhhh...no. If you were really hungry, the priest should have made you lunch. Communion was not designed to fill the physical hunger but the spiritual hunger. You could probably eat the whole bag/box/container and still not be satisfied physically. What you should be doing is asking for more of Jesus - the symbolism of communion in the first place.

I believe it is a matter of respect. I think you could have waited until after the service to feed the hunger of your flesh. I think the minister should look into his own heart for the motive of his dirty look. if someone is truly hungry they should be fed.

the communion is to feed the soul. I believe the body should be fed afterward. if you were truly hungry and not playing games you should have been fed, afterwards.

no u don't do that!!!Communion is supposed to be u receiving the body of crist and the blood of christ....It's suppost to be holy and sacred between u and god....next time why don't u make sure u eat something Before u go to church..The minister might have thought u were doing that out of disrespect or to be funny...(asking for seconds)if your already doing communion,u should know proper etiquette on doing it!That was rude!

You shouldn't have taken the first communion is for those who are pure of heart your minister should have explained this to the church either he did or you just didn't listen do you know what the bread and the wine are.

He probably thought you were being smart. One wafer and one sip of wine is enough for the communion celebration. If you had eaten two plates full you would not have even been full..you know that.If you're going to make a joke of it..don't even participate.

You should bring some slices of summer sausage, pepperoni, and cheese for you and your friends to put on the communion wafer. At least you'll get something out of it. Who knows, others might pick up on the idea.

"This is the flesh of Christ. With pickles!"

By asking this question you show that you have little respect for the act of communion. If you know what it is about, the remembering of what Christ suffered for you, you are very close to hell I am afraid. Its just like you going to your mothers funeral and telling jokes and making lite of the fact she is dead

Of course it is. The church recognizes the harsh realities of life today. If you did see a dirty look it was a failure of compassion by a representative of the church, who is after all only human. Many church representatives lead sheltered lives and are distanced from many of the world's realities. Peace to everyone.

you are able to in basic terms be baptized once. that is likewise stated interior of Scripture itself. notwithstanding, those who have received a heretical baptism or ought to have not been baptized should be rebaptized. yet having a 2d baptism there is not any such difficulty in Christianity. the problem is the Baptist, Evangelicals, Methodists, Non-denominational, etc. etc. were no longer round in the course of the time even as the Catholic Church became preforming Christian baptisms. So if there are regulations for a Christian baptism it ought to come from the Church which initially were preforming Christian baptisms. The Catholic Church.

Its not okay to ask for seconds. The communion is spiritual food, not to be for regular food.
