Most have already given you the answer and that is the day after Christmas. Especially for Christmas related items. Other times would be anytime you find a really great deal on something and know that it will cover several people on your list, then stock-up. I found a great deal on an item once and it was something everyone could use so I cleaned out the shelf! I got gifts for about 20 people and this item had been marked down from $29.99 to $15.00 and then had a final clearance of only $3.00 each! YEAH!

The safest way is to start in July, try to buy a gift each week of payday, nothing to fancy, and by the time Christmas get near you should have all your shopping done and get to spend your Christmas worried free and shop for yourself or take a vacation out of town.

Dec. 26 to about a month after .... That way you get all the after season sales and don't have to stress getting a gift for someone on Christmas Eve

Depends all on how many you need to get. I like to start in June to be honest. I put things on layaway, and when that is paid off, i start all over again. That way we have nice holidays, and I am not overwhelmed by bills and headaches come December. Besides, you can find awesome deals all year long, but around the holidays it is better the day after usually!
I have a large list, and less patience. I dont like crowds too much and I like to save my money.

Anytime you want to. I know people that see something months in advance that would make a great gift for someone they know. They buy it and hold it till christmas when they give it to the person they had in mind.

I shop all year around looking for those specials sales around the different holidays. I set a budget per person and stick with it that way I am not spending heavily or using my credit card at the end of the year.
