I have long hair to the middle of my back and I am going to cut it for Locks of Love. I had it about an 1/2 inch past my shoulders when I was 11 years old and I am now 16. I really like how it looked on me at 11 but my face has changed. I have really fair skin. Here is a pic of me now: http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=49255140&imageID=876389013&MyToken=806afdf2-72b6-4f76-a7e8-12631408c10e

I think you donating to locks of love is wonderful! :)

I also think your hair cut to your shoulders will look wonderful! :)

I would say, leave most of your hair all one length to your shoulders, with just a few long whispy layers.

When you go to get your hair cut, ask the lady who cuts your hair what a good style would be. Make sure you go to a nice salon ~ it makes all the difference.

While there, would you like to try a few highlights around your face? I think it would look great. :)

Personally, I would NOT add bangs. After not having them - you will most likely hate them. Thats what happend to me when I added bangs, I hated them and grew them back out. Plus, they are not really in style.

Just go for the long layers around the face. ;)

I would suggest a length about 2 inches below the ear, slightly longer in the front from the back. A basic bob with soft layers framing the face. It looks like your hair is straight, I think it would be a good, low maintenance cut.

Locks of Love rocks. Thanks for doing that. I would ask the stylist who is doing the cut for Locks to suggest something that would compliment your overall style. It's hard to suggest something on here, but I would add some bangs.

my advise would be for you to invest money and go to a reputable hair stylist.

tell the stylist what you would like, and if you are unsure on what hair style you should get, get him/her to give you a few options.

also, consider getting highlights. a good salon should have professional colorists to help you ((;
