America is taking the situation in Iran more seriously because they are perfectly capable of defending themselves since they are a nuclier threat and they have an Airforce meaning that
civilians in the U.S would be in danger. There is also the fact that Iran has the backing of Russia and China who have promised that they would back up Iran if sanctions were to take place.
So attacking Iran means facing Russia and China so victory
would be imposible. There is also the fact that America is a global bully and they don't want to fight powerfull countries with a capable military and pick on weaker countries. But for now 1
wrong move in the U.S could mean WW3.

Because the Bush administration is paranoid, afraid of any nation that it considers a "threat". Reckless Bush policies have forced other countries to consider their own nuclear weapons of mass destruction as their only defense against the bully Bush. The United States is viewed as the new "evil empire" - after all, the U.S. illegally and unconstitutionally invaded another sovereign nation that in no way threatened, provoked or attacked it. Why wouldn't other countries believe that they could be next, especially if they have OIL.

The Bush paranoia runs deep...and the Bush administration believes that all conflicts can be settled with enough guns and ammo. Bush considers any country that tries to fight back a "threat".
Prediction: Bush will invade Iran as soon as he can come up with a plausible excuse for doing so (he already knows no one will believe they have weapons of mass destruction). So, once he concocts a lie that most Americans will "buy", he'll invade Iran just as he did Iraq, and for the very same reason: OIL.
Bush won't invade North Korea because it has no OIL. If Bush is really interested in bringing 'democracy' to the world, why hasn't he invaded all the countries that are run by dictatorial regimes? Because most of them have no OIL. So, let the genocide continue; allow the evil despots to continue their raping and pillaging and murdering because those countries make no difference to Bush. His only targets are OIL-laden countries. Iran is next on his hit list. -RKO-

America is afraid of no one! The concern has to do with religious fanatics who would rather die then live and want to kill just of the sake of killing. We see it in Iraq everyday. Now Iran has picked a fight with Israel and is using Lebanon as a patsy for their crimes. Iran, Iraq, North Korea, China and all countries that show the lack of human rights are like a cancer to the world. These are the countries that are afraid. They fear that people can think for themselves and are only looking for a better life. What is so wrong with that? The leaders of these countries are sick minded and the real problem is they have their fingers on the bomb. They wouldn't think twice about blowing up millions of people in the name of their God. Then of course there OBL. The world's most wanted monster who asks people to die for his beliefs but hides in caves because he doesn't have the courage of his own convictions. No, America is not afraid of these terrorists. Like all terrorists they will all be brought down and punished for their crimes against humanity. And what is so wrong about a world living in peace? Think about it!

Are you joking? The U.S. is not afraid of Iran but we are aware that Iran is behind acts of terrorism and are seeking to make nuclear weapons to potentially "wipe Israel off the map" as the Iranian president worded it.
They also support Hezbolah with weapons and millions of dollars to fight jews in Israel.
If it came to a war with iran it would be like fighting the Iraqis...our technology was so advanced they thought we were magic.

they're not, they want to establish peace and security for all and prevent further terrorism. I think Iran has a reserve army of about 6 million, which is quite considerable - if US intervene in Iran it could cause a large-scale global collapse of economies. It is not a good idea to use force - best to keep communicating and make use of UN pressure to persuade them to disarm terrorists and possible nuclear ability. Apparantly Iran funds many of the extremist terrorist groups and house them as well.

Iran started some nuclear program, so there are now two nuclear threats, North Korea included. America and others fear that a nuclear war will start.

Iran has a leader who is prepared to shut off their oil and cause economic damage to the US. Imagine if they also caused a terrorist attack on US refineries at the same time - double whammy. This is why attacking them could cause major economic problems for the US. It is still many years yet before Iran will have a nuclear weapon.

Not afraid at all. In Fact, some of us would LOVE for Iran to BRING IT ON! The problem is, too many Americans are still hewing to a LIBERAL view of how things ought to be. That is NOt the way to go.

Nuclear threat... and their chances of starting a nuclear holocaust is higher than most countries with the weapon. Iran is on par with North Korea.
