To be a patriot is to have a love for the country to whom we have given our loyality. When we register to vote we take a pledge to uphold the constitution of this nation. This vow makes us ethically responsible to be patriots. To love our country means to strive to make it a just nation both in it internal policies and in its external policies. Patriots resist any injustice that is done in our culture. They strive to make their nations more just.

A nationalistist is a person who has made their nation their ultimate concern. National interests are all that matter. Promoting the success and pleasure of the national state is the key concern. Any means is allowed by the nationalist to achieve these ends, both just and unjust. The end of making their nation the greatest of all nations justifies all means. People who are nationalist have made their nation their god.

I love my country. I am not nationalistic. Nationalists believe in "My country right or wrong" Doesn't matter what their country does they still support it. I don't believe in patriotism either. Too many crimes against humanity have been committed in the name of patriotism.
If patriotism just means love of country,OK, but I can't get excited by the flag. That's for zealots in my opinion.

I proudly display my American flag even though I don't agree with allot of the choices being made in Government. Does that make me a patriot? I proudly display my Confederate flag. Does that make me a rebel? I am offended when I see flags from other countries being displayed. Does that make me a nationalist? I proudly display my Arkansas flag. Does that make me territorial?

I am an American. I proudly fly The American Flag. I support the military and am proud of them. Is our country always right no and while I may not agree with keeping our military in this war I support our troops and our country. I live in Arkansas and fly the state flag as well. No country is all good or all bad. When you choose to be a part of that country you take the good with the bad.

Patriotic are people who have respect for other countries and in the same time those who would die for their countries out of love,
Nationalistic are those which love their countries like patriots and they would die for their countries but they have a sense of narrow chauvinism, in short they believe they are above others (nazi and facists),patriots(ethiopians).
