The research i did öeads me to to belive that oracle has merged or taken over most of the "stronghold technologies" of present time slike peoplesoft,Siebel,SAP. Am i correct to assume this an focus my time and energy in going about to acquire an Oracle supported skillset.

OBS:This question is more concentrated over the Us job market.

I get paid an average of $75/hour, $50/hour after taxes, as Team Leader for Java Developers. We do use Oracle but we dont have a support group for just oracle. Its part of our Developing needs.

I think the best paying IT jobs focuses more on Developing and Security. Security might include Networking.

It really depends on what you are passionate for since there are so many different types of IT jobs in our country.

Yes you assumed well but you forgot to mention SAP which is a big player too.
