I see some questions on yahoo answers regarding homosexuality in Christianity. Its clear to me that the mythology contained in the Holy Bible shows clearly that homosexuality is a sin. We see this in Genesis, Leviticus, Romans, Revelation.

My question to gay people is, why are you trying to fit into a group of people who have been brainwashed into believing their mythology is the word of God, and there for won't accept you? It's like blacks wanting to join the KKK in my humble opinion.

The gay population very low percentage less than 10% would be my generous guess more like 5% probably.

What has happened in the last half-century is a world-wide sexual revolution. It is not only gays who have come out of the closet and loudly announced their presence, heterosexual men and women are now taught even in school that regular sexual expression with any number of partners is normal and natural. The importance of marriage and the family as the nucleus for a healthy society, and the Biblical standard of refraining from all sexual expression except within marriage have been thrown by the wayside.

Unfortunately a good many preachers and self-appointed "Christian" moralists have taken it upon themselves to denounce homosexuality and abortion while saying not a word against fornication or adultery. If 5% of the population is actively gay, then it is likely that 20-25% of the population is actively fornicating and sleeping around without benefit of marriage. No mentioned by many preachers these days is the fact that God "hates divorce"--partly because of the life-long damage done to children.

The pulpits of the land are silent about hypocrisy, spiritual pride, self-righteousness, love of money and the pursuit of the American dream of affluence and ease. Blatant worldliness has permeated every level of Christ's church in America today. This goes unmentioned and unnoticed. What about drinking too much, pornography, child and spousal abuse? Sin is not a popular topic in church--unless it can be preached about to outsiders and to the marginalized in society who are not our kind of people. Does the church pray for the lost? Not generally. Is there any sense of urgency anywhere in the church to do everything possible to reach people who do not know Jesus? Not really.

But what is wrong with America today has very little to do with the outspoken public behavior and lobbying by a few militant homosexuals, and their "rights" or even their behavior. Their behavior is unacceptable to God, but that is not the real issue which needs our attention. Our focus needs to be directed elsewhere.

There are six things which the LORD hates,
seven which are an abomination to him:
haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil,
a false witness who breathes out lies, and a man who sows discord among brothers.
(Proverbs 6:16-19)

The Bible itself, especially the new testament, does not condemn them. Some (but not all) Christian churches condemn them, and loudly. There are Christian sects that allow gays, just like I imagine there are Christians who actually read the Bible.

The most common myth that is pointed out to show that "God hates gays" is actually a story about the violation of the ancient code of hospitality,(extremely common in all mythologies, by the way, but treating the homeless, travellers and guests, and hosts for that matter, like **** is no longer a sin, weird how our priorities change) which would be clear to anybody who didn't read it specifically looking for evidence that "God hates gays".

From some of the gay theologions and pastors that I have read, they use strong biblical evidence to support their position...while leaving out a few critical details.

Old Testament: Either the laws against men sleeping with men and women with women were not against the sexual act per se or were considered inhospitable (don't laugh). OR, they state that this was the code for the Israelites in the Old Testament Age only....however,
New Testament: In the NT, Jesus enacted a new code of ethics...Love God above all and Love neighbor as self. Therefore, the old testament code is completely done away with.
But Paul throws a wrench in that last point, since he condemns all forms of homosexuality in Romans 1. The response to him is that although his theology is solid about everything else...he was a Jewish believer and unfortunately suffered from homophobia because of his familiarity with the Old Testament. Therefore, we must forgive him of this homophobia and get on with the rest of his theology which is good.

Therefore, the Old Testament Law is good, but the New Testament code is supreme...except for Paul and we will forgive him of his ignorance on this issue.

You are posting a sarcastic, blasphemy question about God & his people on the "Religion & Spiritual" category. You have deep seeded anger, confusion, and have been deceived greatly. Christians love all people, they are in no way comparible to the KKK. You do not know God...you may have heard some things about God, but you my dear lost brother, do not know God. I urge you now, to confess your sins and cry out for God to show him to you. Take up your cross and follow him. You are spreading evil, and you will be accountable for all you say, think & do. God will have Judgment day!!! We are all sinners. Christians do not judge...only God judges. A Christian does not sit in a seat of judgement, they are a beacon of God's light to show others how to live God's way. A Christian acknowledges that they are a sinner, they confess their sins to God. They acknowledge that sin exists, and they can only be saved by God's grace and Jesus' sacrifice. We are not saved by our own goodness, but the goodness of Christ.
Read this poem:
When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I am saved"
I'm whispering "I get lost!"
"That is why I chose this way."

When I say..."I am a Christian"
don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need someone to be my guide.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
and pray for strength to carry on.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
and cannot ever pay the debt.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
my flaws are too visible
but God believes I'm worth it.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartaches
which is why I seek His name.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I do not wish to judge.
I have no authority.
I only know I'm loved.

Gayes, need Christians to show them the err of their sins. Satan has distorted the truth to them. They are lost and need a friend to show them the way. The world has misled them, those who follow the ways of the world, have misled them. The ways of the world says, "If it feels good do it". That is how Satan attempts to trick all people to walk in the flesh. God says, Walk in the spirit and not in the flesh. It matters not what the sin is, we all need to come to a place of repentance.A sin is a sin is a sin in God's eyes. All can convert from their sinful life. Christians don't "fit in" or try to get others to "fit in"...that is Satans way....God says turn from your sin, do not try to fit in...take up your cross and follow me.
Do you realize that when you influence those who are lost from finding Christ, in a negative way, that you are accountable to God? You may laugh at God or Christians now, but you will come to truth.

I think any gay person who actually yearns to fit in with the Christian community are seeking to un-gay themselves. I mean seriously what other reasons could there be?
