just right click on the files and choose compress files.oh no a good way is click on send to compressed zip folder and then save that to the disk it will work well and take up a lot less space, but ruins the quality so there is no point really.

A good link where you can get winrar is: http://bit.ly/1t6dcCg

You can use winrar to unzip zip file and loads of other formats. A few more programs you can use are 7zip or winzip but I still beleive winrar is the best choice. They work pretty much in the same way: you can compress or decompress files easily with a right-click.

The big advantages of Winrar are: it's free (it's available under a trial version that never expires) and can open all the formats: .zip, .rar, .7z / 7zip, .iso, .tar, .jar etc.

That's why I strongly recommend winrar.

Winzip came with my machine, but it semmed to have a size limit--files over a certain size triggered a message that I needed to pay $29.95 for winzip. So I found a free Zip Program: QuickZip from Joseph Leung
http://www.quickzip.org/quickzip/downloads.php

QuickZip helps you shrink very large files or extract previously zipped files. It can extract 20 different types of archive files. The documentation is written in broken English but it's good enough to get you going.

Requirements: Windows 98, ME, NT, XP

PowerArchiver from http://www.powerarchiver.com . Its the best archiver available. It can comress to .zip .7z etc. And it can decompress all kinds of compressed files. Even .iso files. :D And it doesnt cost much. And you don't need to pay anything additional for updates. That is if you buy PowerArchiver 2006 you can get 2007, 08, 09 etc for free.

attempt MP3 to Ringtone Gold. it is available for loose on the information superhighway. set up it on your pc/laptop. Run it, then opt for 'enormous MP3 to small' selection. Now contained in the settings you are able to substitute the bitrate in accordance to the share to that you want to compress your mp3 document. The decrease the bit fee, the a lot less the dimensions of the compressed document. desire it helps.

I have always used http://www.winzip.com cuz its easy to use and its free. Just download it and install it, then open a folder where you want to create the zip file. Right click on the empty folder area and then go to NEW then click on zip file. It will create a zip file for you. Then rename it and you can drag and drop all the files into that zip file. It will compress it for you.
