You're going to have to throw that pie pan away when you're done with it. Salt & pepper the inside of chicken, stuff an opened beer (tall one for a chicken that big) in the hollow of the chicken & stand it up that way. Cook 1 hr. & 15 minutes or until meat is not pink at the bone. make this sauce:
1 1/2 stick butter
1 1/2 squeezed fresh lemon (throw in 2 rind 1/2's)
3 or 4 garlic cloves (mashed, chopped or diced)
Garlic Salt, peppper to taste

i never tried to cook a chook in a fry pan before but if its got a lid on it it would be the same as in an oven 1hr 20 min should be plenty but i do think 300-350 degs is to hi put a lid on it and cook it at 220 turn it over after 30 mins wait 30 mins and turn it off and let sit for 30 mins but don't take it of the hot stove

generally its 20 minutes a pound.......... but on the grill if its not constantly at the same temp maybe a little longer....yea probly a little longer say 25-30 minutes a pound
