I'm one of those who opted for a dog rather than 2 legged children. Best thing about them is they really can't talk back -- not to mention their vet bills are WAY cheaper than college.
I have no regrets about not having children. Some are parent material. I clearly am not. Too bad not everyone realizes that.

Obvisously your mom must have made a mistake to have you. You are someones child. Kids are what the furture holds I have three and am happily married for you info. I love my kids and hope they grow up to be sucessful happy people. Now if your talking about teenagers then I somewhat agree there are far to many teens having unwanted children. But in all reality do you wish you hadn't been born?? There are probably some of us here that are wishing that right now cause your spreading your stupidy all over the world. How does your mother feel about this? Wow your asking a loaded question and will probably not get very many people that agree with you without children the future of our country dosen't exist. DUH. Now go bore some one else with you stupid questions or better yet start your own childless cult that won't have very many followers. Or even better still go move to Japan or South Korea yiou should fit in well there.

Children are one of God's miracles and precious gifts. Yes they are trying but so are adults at times also. I would never say having a child is a mistake. It's one of the greatest experience in life anyone could witness. And school age no they are not a burden it's the most exciting time for them and for the parent's seeing how and what you as a parent have accomplished. It all comes down to having patience.

Yes, yes, yes!!! Kids are worth it, by all means. You never know until you have a baby, that a baby brings tremendous joy, and tremendous happiness.I have a dog too, but a dog cannot substitute a baby.I also know the other side of this. If parents are not really ready for parenthood mentally, financially, having a baby is kind of disaster.

"There are not too many people in the world, only too many evil people."
If you're going to have "kids", then, yeah, they'll most likely be trouble, after they grow up as heathens and go to government school.
If you choose to raise children, who are taught to love God and their fellow man and respect his other creations, then they won't be a burden on society.
Overpopulation is a myth. In fact, many nations are experiencing such low birth-rates and foreseeing social and economic problems because of that, they are encouraging their subjects to have more children.
"Children are the fruit of the love between a husband and wife."

it is an individual choice. A child can bring much joy and fulfillment into your life. Hopefully they will outlive you, unlike a dog, which you will bury at some point during your own life.
And if other people don't have babies, there will be nobody left to wipe your butt when you're too old to do it yourself. That's one reality of life; the distinct possiblity of living long enough to become a diaper wearing ancient person.
Don't be so judgemental of other's lives.

I believe most couples do place more thought into finding a home than into bringing children into this world. Sad.
Children are a great miracle. However not all couples, or as is common these days single women, should have children. I am not wise enough to able to set standards on who should or shouldn't have children.
So as a childless adult I have pets.

I agree with you partially. I believe many people have children because they think that is what they *should* do versus actually considering the factors involved in taking care of another human being for at LEAST 18 years.
With that said, I don't believe children's only redeeming qualities are their childhood cuteness and urinary incontinence. Maybe when we, as a society, stop thinking of people only in terms of what value they add to our lives, personally, we can start to appreciate that our differences is what adds to our society, as a whole.

Just remember when you are hating on children that you where once one yourself.I do however feel that bringing children into the society that we have today is scary, but nevertheless they are our future.I would not give up my children for the world, even though i was a single mom for 5yrs in their life,i wouldnt take it back for all the money in the world.Show love not hate, maybe the world can have hope yet.Good luck God bless:O)

That is not the right question to ask.
The real question is are you fit to be a good parent to a kid?
A lot of people who aren't financially stable have kids, and then they start finding the kid a big burden.
That's when it becomes "Not worth it!"
Don't have kids unless you are mentally, emotionally and financially prepared to have one, then it will be worth it.
