From what I know there is a very small chance that people with 'cillin allergies will react to foods where the mold itself is actually consumed (like blue cheese). Blue cheese actually is made with "penicillium" molds. While chances are that you will not react, it is entirely possible that you will. For my son with a penicillin allergy, we avoid these type of cheese.

im not completely sure but my guess is no. penicillin was originally made from a secretion made by mold that kills off bacteria (which compete with the mold for food and other resources. think of the mold as a fat guy in a tank top in august, and the "penicillin" has his armpit sweat which is repeling people away from the buffet. the drug is concentrated armpit sweat) not the actual mold itself. the amount of the drug penicillin in the cheese is probably very small and not enough to bother you.

but im not a doctor and dont know for sure, but ive never heard of anyone having a penicillin allergy triggered by eating cheese so im gonna guess its not very likely to happen. im allergic to penicillin and ive never broke out from eating cheese. but who knows maybe it can happen

No. First Penniicillium species are fungus, not bacteria. It is the blu colored mold found on stale bread and other foods. It is what makes the blue in bleu cheese but it has been pastuerized or whatever else they do to chees to process it for consumption so an allergic reaction is highly unlikely.

I am allergic to all cillins amoxicilliin, penicillin etc. There is an off chance but very unlikey that you may be allergic to cheese, but I am not. Penicillin is a mold as is cheese. If you're old enough to write I am sure you've had cheese before and everything seems okay.

I don't know about the mold on cheese being penicillin, however I know that you can encourage the overgrowth of the Candida albicans fungus (yeast), by eating cheese.

Or at least that what the book is telling me I have to avoid if I want to get rid of my systemic yeast infection. For basic information on the systemic yeast syndrome, check out the link on the Welcome page of www.hufa.org.
