1) Who is Cindy Sheehan?
2) Didn't you read properly this lady is a HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR WHICH MEANS SHE PROBABLY LOST MOST OF HER FAMILY TO TERRORIST NAZIS. Please grow brains in your answers.

not happy to see there weren't too many brains grown here. The answers given so far lack understanding and intelligence. To advocate killing people just because they are "pagans" is obscene. And you think you are a Christian.
Zionist is just Nazi spelt backwards.

i realize that this is mostly in response to the last answer received (by mohammed r): i don't think it has to do with jews viewing themselves as g-d's chosen people. we may believe that this is so, but we don't press it upon others in the way that some christians do and i don't believe we flaunt it either. israel is a small country that has been fighting for its existence and is surrounded by countries that don't like her very much and would probably be much happier if she was wiped off the map. just look at some of the things that iran's prime minister has been saying lately!

ok, and on the statement itself: i think i can understand where the lady is coming from, though i would never go so far as to say i was ashamed. i'm not sure that israel's actions at the beginning of the current conflict were quite the best path of action, but i still stand with israel because they have the right to protect themselves. i don't know that lebanon should be blamed for hezbollah, but maybe they should think about denouncing a terrorist group who is commiting to the destruction of israel.

I am sad that you feel ashamed to be Jewish. I am not Jewish but am involved in working for Jewish people as I believe that you are Gods chosen race. If you look at your Scriptures, God told you to clear the land of the pagans who lived there as they would entice you in their ways. The Jews were disobedient and let the pagans live there and they have been a thorn in the side of the Jews ever since.
The land is yours. Your enemies want to wipe you off the face of the earth, why are you ashamed? As far as I can see they are finally retaliating after being pushed just to far.
Hezbollah, went into YOUR country, shot 8 of your people and kidnapped two of your soldiers and they say that your response is disproportionate! WHO ARE YOU LISTENING TO?
THIS IS AN ACT OF WAR! Can you imaging any country taking this lying down? Or is Israel the only country that should not defend her people? Are you frightened of what the world might say? So what, they all hate you anyway, you might as well take out Hezbollah, Syria and just nuke Iran I promise you they wont hate you any more!
Be proud to be Jewish, there are lots of people from within every nation who are standing with you. Go get em Israel.

Well, I am a bit biased.

Even so. I would like to point out that Israel has defied more UN resolutions than any other country in the world.

I am sure that says something about them( or if you are biased you can say there is a world conspiracy against them which would then be ridiculous)

Regarding the statement above, I am sure there some nice Jewish and Israeli people out there. But the problem is that a lot of them think they are God's chosen people.

Please read the following link and you will find that every group mentioned proclaims itself as the chosen people.

The new established state of Israel is using brutal and barbarian methods to express its methods and wills to be the leader there! Since its "foundation", in the late 40s, Israel has been creating too much trouble, in order to promote the interests of the world leaders!
The unfortunate fact is the the Israelis who are suffering all this can not do what their logic and hearts demand, since the rulers have stronger weapons and convincing methods and ways!
If I could, I would advice the Jews of all over the world to demand the Zionists to allow the Israelis to live in peace and on good neighborhood relations as they have already taken what they wanted! Why should they demand more and more, even if they do not want it?

Simple. Either she is unaware of what is going on in Israel, or she didn't learn anything from the way *she* was treated. Either way, it's sad that she allowed herself to be used by the media that way... (Unless she was misquoted--a fairly high likelihood, given the anti-Semitic nature of much of the news media when reporting on Israel.)

Israelis living in the north of the country are forced to live in bunkers to remain safe from the missiles being shot at the country. Putting several families in an 8'x10' room with little furniture *should* sound familiar to a survivor of Nazi Germany!! For instance, just today, an attack from Lebanon was directed against Israel's 3rd largest city, killing 8. What would *your* country do if 20 percent of its citizens were under constant attach and had to live in bomb shelters?

I think with someone in her position, its very tough to see any war. She lived through hell. Literally! First, you have to take into consideration, that she IS 81 years old. Lots of old-fashioned beliefs there. Second, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I don't personally agree with the statement. I think Israel is doing just what they need to do. The "Hezbollah" should be dismantled in any way possible as far as Im concerned! Their affiliations and control tactics go against the rest of the world, well, anyone that matters anyway. I agree with what Bush did on Friday. Requesting that Israel try and prevent innocent casualties, was the right statement to make.

i am very very very very VERY proud to be Jewish AND ISRAELI!!!!! what Israel is doing is not even close to what the Arabs have been doing to us throughout the history- especially after the state of Israel was established in 1948!! and don't even think about comparing the Israelis to Hitler and the Nazis!!!!! how dare you people even associate Israel and the Nazis?!?!?!?
Israel has been totally tolerant of the Arabs!!!! even when the arabs go and do suicide bombings, killing over a thousand innocent cicillians!!!! we gave them our land- Gaza, we let them stay here, we break up their fights, we give them electricity, water, gas, medical aid- we do EVERYTHING for those ungrateful Arabs!!!!! and they just spit in our faces and attack and kidnap soldiers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
do you know that in the past few days, the Lebanese people have been constantly bombing Israel?!?!? and the arabs killed 8 soldiers and are holding 3 hostage?!?!?!?
when will the world finally see the truth?!?!? it is completely messed up that people are blaming Israel- and even worse, comparing us to the Nazis. it honestly is the most mindboggling thing i've ever heard.
it is so sad that the world came to this.....

It's easy to pass detatched judgement on a situation when you have the safety of 1000s of miles to protect you. Try having your whole fabric of society ripped apart by war and then say they're not justified.
