I have been scrolling through this questions and i have continuly found that people have made Muslims look like murdering terrorists. In reality the terrorist there are the fanatics which amount to a tiny fraction of the entire religion. This happening we have made Christianity turn into a perfect peaceful religion. Have we forgotten that we have fanatics as well. The Crusades were carried out in Gods name and we killed hundreds of thousands on the way to and at the Holy Land. The KKK killed thousands of African Americans who many themselves were Christian. Hell the St. Bartholmews Day Massacre was Protestants against Catholics. Why have we forgotten our faults but relive theirs???

It’s called hypocrisy my friend. In scripture it is aptly described as pointing out the speck of dust in our brothers eye, but missing the beam in our own eye.

Our so-called war on terror has killed more innocent people that all of the so-called Islamic terrorists.

I just can't see the logic of trying to harm innocent people because some other selfish idiot has harmed some other innocent people I happen to care about. After all, how much like these despicable people do we want to become?????

If we need to become what we despise to defeat it what have we gained?

Seems to me that we should be smart enough to find a more logical approach. Ghandi did.

Love and blessings dear friend.

I share you sadness and your concern.

Hate and killing in any god's name is just plain wrong. It is true that Christians have historically had it's own extremists that affect the whole(and still do) God help us all if they enter the fray. I have to admit it's hard to watch Arab nation after Arab nation encouraging, supporting terrorist actions or looking the other way. Interesting the Crusades happened and it was Christian vs Muslim then. I don't know the solution, I personally believe I am not the judge and treat others the way I want to be treated. I wish everyone could sit down and discuss it respectfully and come up with non violent solutions. It is truly a struggle between theocracy and democracy.

In my opinion a very good point of view. That is in line with clean out own house so we can see clearer what really is in existence.

Some do apply this to themselves as individuals but then for get this when it comes to an action as a group, organization, or assembly. When many are gathered it seems that emotions do tend to override individual commitments and concepts or the view is follow the leader for the leader is responsible for the followers.

I do agree with your position that many do tend to judge the whole by a few which in itself is not what the "do not judge" sets forth. Absolutely the excuse for judgment is "I did not judge because I am a fruit inspector only. I saw the bad fruit and one rotten apple will spoil the whole barrel".

Nice point you made. Do have a good day

It is not ones specific religious beliefs that are a problem, it is the mind control which religions impose on the individuals ability to think that poses the greatest threat to world peace. Being unable to think freely creates prejudice, intolerance and hatred. The people of world would be much better off without religions to stifle and control them.

No one wants to see themselves as evil or the people they are close to as wrong. Most Muslims live in the Middle East and Indonesia, a place so far away that many Americans wont visit (unless its Israel)

You can't equate the actions of the Crusades, which were hundreds of years ago, with terrorism, which is happening today. As a rule, Christianity no longer employs violent tactics, whereas radical Islam still does. Just because certain Christians were violent hundreds of years ago we can't condemn violence today?

You are correct and we will most likely always have people that claim to follow a religion only to further their own cause.
People who follow God (regardless of religion) and practice the basics of "Love each other as yourself" are the true followers.

The right religions ALL in their origin are from God... IF WE ALL SEEK AND SEARCH FOR THE ORIGINAL SOURCE OF OUR RELIGIONS WITHOUT DISTORTION , THEN WE COME TO PEACE AND HARMONY .. WE MUST STUDY MORE AND MORE ABOUT OUR AND OTHER RELIGIONS, SO WE COULD AVOID AND PREVENT MIS-UNDERSTANDING .
