If this is his first time, I would consider giving him a second chance if he promised to stay away from the person that he cheated on you with. As in he cuts all ties with her. Make it clear to him that this is his one and only shot to come clean also about any other times he has cheated on you; this way your starting out on a clean slate.
And if he does it again after you giving him another chance, its upto you to give him a third. But, I would only give him 3 chances.

Ok you need to say...NO...trust me on that, once a cheater always a cheater. I had the same thing happen to me, and I was stupid and said yes... we stayed together for almost 7 years and the cheating never stopped, but the lies got better. It is very hard to continue a relationship when one person has broken the trust. It is like once you agree to give them a second chance you are putting "sucker" across your forehead. Move on the grass is greener...Good Luck

Give him a second chance, but keep him on a short lease for awhile. It takes a long time to trust again when someone does that. Maybe never completely get over it. If you really care for him. Good Luck

You should do whatever you want to do about it. You should not let your friends or family influence your decision. You need to know that men who cheat rarely only do it once! If you give him a second chance, you have to make him understand that it is his LAST and you will not tolerate cheating.

If you love this guy and thinks he deserves to be given one more chance then I think you should..We all make mistakes.. but you know.. you are the one who knows better if you should give him another chance.. How did he ask for it? Did he really regret what he did? We all deserve a second chance..

If you want to give him a chance make him earn your trust again before letting him into you life. If you don't trust someone a relationship is out of the question.

I would not give him one..he is not worth the effort and as soon as he gets a chance he WILL do it again...don't take him back..teach him a lesson on cheating he will never forget......

That is up to you....but I have learned never to give a second chance....what they will do once, they will do again.....and it is only easier when the one they may think they want will take them back....teach him now.....you screw up !!! You lose the better thing
