A good clue is if you have had the log book or v5 for over a month. If you have then you should get sent a reminder, if not you need to take your documents to the post office and they will sort you out.

Most do, but you are responsible for checking this! The DMV's failure to send out a renewal notice won't help you at all if you're stopped for expired tags! You've got that tab on the tag itself, or the windshield sticker that tells you when it expires. It's up to YOU alone to ensure that it is renewed on time.

In the UK DVLA automatically send you out a reminder before the tax is due. If you have recently bought the car and have bought the car with remander of RFL the person who sold you the car should have sent away the log book V5 in your name stating that they are no longer the keeper. If you haven't received a log book i n your name yet, you should be able to tax it on the green slip V5 supplement that you should have given within two months of purchase. Look on DVLA website if you are not sure.

Yes you should receive a notice by mail but if not check your license plate tag.In Illinois I have always gotten a mail notification and there is a sticker on the plate that needs to be renewed.

If for some reason they don't, or you have moved and not given them your new address, you are still responsible to get it renewed. Look at the tags on your vehicles occasionally to see if they are coming up. You can do it 30 days in advance in most states.

convinced you're responsible. possibly your handle is incorrect in the equipment, possibly the Mailman buried your mail. you're responsible for renewing your advice in the well timed style. The dates of renewal are written on each and every of the advice. you quite not in any respect observed in the most suitable 12 months that your license became going to favor renewing quickly?

Yes they do send out renewal notices; however, you should make sure they have your correct address.

Depends. In Ohio I know they do. If they don't in your state, calendar it up for your birthday. That's when you are required to renew it in Ohio. Check with your local licencing bureau where you got your plates to begin with.
