Trek's OCLV bikes are the most famous, thanks to Lance, but I know that carbon bikes have been around before. What was the first carbon fiber bike raced in the TdF, and who rode it? Also, if it was a TT bike, when was the first carbon bike for the general stages introduced?

greg lemond 90's Carbonframes was the first California made frame to be raced earlier in the 80's I think there were some Vitus frames that had some carbon tubes..then in the 50's...

the first FULLY carbon fibre ? hmm, was that the one ridden by Chris Boardman ? back in the 90`s
