if the symptoms are gone and you have a good idea of what your allergies are then i would stop taking them. there are places on the web where you can keep track of what allergens are high or low. i'd use that as a reference and if your specific allergy starts rating high then as a preventative method i would start taking them again so you don't have to suffer.

often ppl do that. but pls dont. ask yr doctor first before stopping any medication, you dont want to have a n awful side reaction for lack of the medication.

specially allergy medication. if you are prescribed to take a certain med during certtain times, dont discard the routine until you ask the doc.

I personally take all my allergy meds all the time, to keep my symptoms down to a dull roar.

Antihistamines are usually taken on an as-needed basis, unless your doctor wants you to take it daily for another reason. For allergy symptoms, which vary from day to day, you can decide whether to take one or not.

Yes...if they were prescribed it usually will have a refill...if not...and theyre over the counter...yes stop...believe it or not..if you continue to use the same meds over and over it will eventually make ur body immune to it...its best to stop and let ur body "regroup" ..that way when you need them again...they will work!
