that love is the greatest gift bestowed to us
if god is the cause of everything then love is the reason why everything exist.
it doesnt matter what your religion is, what matters is whether you do something that you believe is good for the benefit of many, for truth, and to fullfil our mission in our life -- to live...

Hey, congratulations!!! This is the first religious question on here that has attracted sensible answers and no religious rants.
Just one religious statement that says they are the only one that is right and other religions are wrong. It would have been so much better if that bit had been left out!! But it was still mild.
I value the right for everyone to be allowed to worship, who and what they want, without let or hinderance and to to be allowed to believe or not believe with the same freedoms.

What I value most is the fact that I know my religious beliefs are right whereas people with other religious beliefs only think that they know that they are right but I know that I know my beliefs are right.

The most precious thing about my belief is my RELATIONSHIP with GOD the FATHER thru HIS Son JESUS CHRIST. It's the most valuable thing for me because life here on earth is very short and temporary, our eternal destination is far more important than life here on earth. My belief inform me that only true relationship with GOD by believing in JESUS would lead me to eternal joy with the FATHER, nothing more....
Besides, my belief which I found and have been enriched thru reading the Bible and praying to GOD changed me into a better person and helped me to be more grateful in life, even praying for my enemies.
GOD bless you!

Reason is the first word that jumps to my mind. I am a Muslim, so this may seem an unreasonable answer to you, thanks to our terrorists making all the headlines these days.
The fact is the CORE OF ISLAM is indeed based on REASON. We do not believe in unreasonable things (by and large ... =). We believe in ONE MERCIFUL & JUST LORD.
Mercy is the essence of ISLAm and Justice its boundaries. Injustice is not allowed in ISLAM and mercy is preferred to justice.
In my personal study the Jewish religions established JUSTICE in the World, Jesus taught Mercy is better than Justice. But then some of his Christian followers said Mercy could exist without Justice, and justice is not necessary as Mercy is superior to Justice (which it is). But, without Justice first, Mercy can not exist. Example: If you say to me, I am forgiving you and being merciful to you, even though you stole my book. My response is hey ... I did not steal your book, so please do not be condescending and be merciful to me. You say... well, I have forgiven you and I am merciful to you regardless... why are you complaining? My response: BUT, you are being UNJUST in being merciful to me and blaming me for something I did not do and being CONDESCENDING. Unless you prove that I stole, keep your mercy to yourself, as you are blaming me and then pretending to forgive, when neither did I steal nor i need your mercy.
Justice can come only with REASON. Deeper REASON will lead you to MERCY, as we are all defective, we are all wrong doers and none of us can sustain the hard scale of justice, should the LORD MOST HIGH apply that on us.
WHat I love about Islam is the balance. It is not pure justice. It is not Mercy over Justice, but justice first, but Mercy is the essence!
MY Prophet spared all his enemies when he literally had power to kill them. Neither Jesus nor Moses were given such an opportunity by the Most HIGH. Only the enemies of Muhammad were delivered into the hands of our Prophet, who spared them and established the SUNNAH or the Path of Mercy for all Muslims to follow.

That in my religion ( islam) I can love everyone equally (even if they r infidels ) & feel pity for people who would ridicule my beleifs & pray for them even knowing that they will burn in hell for all eternity (the good thing about that is I'll b able to watch while making love to my seven virgins).
