I found a pouch containing £540 but it had a pensioners bus pass in and his post office account card also a credit card.I handed it in because i thought the old codger had just got his money out and wouldn't be able to eat or pay his bills.Did i get a thank you??NO.but at least i didn't feel guilty but i was bloody skint at the time 2.

years ago, I was in a night club with my friend, and I (could have been her - it was a long time ago) spotted a wodge of cash on the dance floor. So between us, we took turns to stand on the money, and kinda 'danced' it off the floor.
Turned out to be £60. We could have handed it to the DJ, but chances are he would have pocketed it. IF he had announced 'anybody lost some money' every hand in the place would have shot up, and could have caused a riot, so we decided the best thing to do was keep it and go shopping the next day :-)
I also found a purse once, and I took it straight to the police, who returned it to the owner. I dont know how much was in it as I didn't even look.

I once worked at a drycleaning business. I ran the drycleaning machine. It was almost an everyday occurence to find $1, $10, or $20 in the machine.

I found £5 on the road next to the local old peoples home, so I handed it in to the home , cos one of the oldies may have lost it. They've sent me christmas cards ever since..

i lost $12,000 by transferring it electronicaly to a different bank and suddenly it reappeared 4 months later so thats the most i have ever found and its still in the bank, other than that i found 40 dollars in a dryer once and i gave it to the manager incase someone came back for it.. a week later the manager called me to let me know no one claimed it and that i could come get it.

$20.00 in Big Lots store
$50.00 my works parking lot
$7.00 inside my store on the floor
$5.00 at a craft store
grand total of $182.00 (i was supposed to turn in the money I found at work but I was off the clock so its finders keepers.)

I found $20 in the wash and returned it to my son. Found out later it was mine. Dayum!
