I like the Smitey, shouty god. But the original is always better than the sequel. Will they write another book? Where Jesus comes back and admits it was all a dream and he was in the shower all the time?

I think the O/T "god" is not cooler than the N/T "god".
The O/T "god" was a bit like an overbearing parent - not letting the Jews do anything - making up its mind as it went along. Its amusing reading the first few books of the O/T. One notices what the Jewish people can and cannot eat changes as they wonder about the desert - as does what is right and wrong. By NO MEANS COOL!
There is a sequel to the N/T. It is called the book of Islam.

I kind of like the strong God, probably because He was a man of action! God is complex and it is sometimes hard to understand Him. The bible says that His ways are not our ways and most of the time he isn't a consuming fire however when He is pushed......!!!!!! I guess that is one way he is like us humans, he has feelings and emotions too.
