I know this is going to sound nasty, but my dog ate a necklace that my husband gave me when we started dating 4 years ago. How long would I have to wait for it to "come out"???

wow! you might want to watch him carefully. did he swallow the chain too? hopefully it will pass in a day or so, BUT sometimes things like string, or bits of cloth, even the chain on a necklace can get caught in his intestines, and it draws them up like a drawstring on sweat pants....it causes internal bleeding and can cause his intestines to rupture.
if he doesn't pass the necklace after 2 days...call your vet and have an x-ray done.

It depends on how much the dog eats and how frequents its bowel movements are. It could also get tangled in his intestines don't wanna scare ya but you might wanna call the vet and see if you can get a doggy laxative.

it should pass with 24 hours a small piece of ex-lax and rubber gloves may make getting results a little better!

Feed him well with his favolurates,and within a day. Good Luck.

18 hrs tops unless it gets settled in his stomach and he doesn't eat. The more he eats the faster it come out.

it should have came out in its business,if not you should tell a vet,even how embaricing it is for you.There mite be somthing wrong with him!!! Good luck with finding it!
