The only benefit that I can see is the potential that by diplomatic intervention|political pressure we might be able to keep the conflict from spreading.
As for direct military involvement ... no good can come from that ... it can only lead into a spiral of higher stakes, deeper involvement, and alienation from more allies.

Good Question. The answer is no benifits for human kind at all. For many in the USA the benefits are well worth the cost's. The defense contractors will make lots of cash. Those that own stock in defense contractors will make lots of cash. Iran is oil rich, they sell arms to terrorist in Lebanon. We sell arms to Israel. China sells arms to Iran so does North Korea. Everyone makes lots of cash. In the USA the tax payers pay for the Arms and aid sent to Israel. Nice deal for some.
In the end the short term gain for Republicans will lead to world war. Which is what they want.
If anyone attacks Israel the USA will defend Israel at any cost.
China and Russia will defend Iran and Iran will defend Iraq and Lebanon. Syria will also defend Lebanon. We have 2200 nukes and China and Russia have more.
Republicans love sending others off to fight and die in war, they always send others to do the dirty work. Republicans will also never pay for the mistakes, they want working class tax payers to pay the $2 trillion cost of war in Iraq. They also are not part of the 2547 brave Americans killed in Iraq or part of the 18,000 that have been wounded in Iraq.
BTW, I see their are still stupid people here on Yahoo who think a terrorist would face any of our marines in a fight, they will not, they do the dirty work behind our backs, just like in Nam.

No benefit is gained by involving ourselves with the conflicts in lebanon, Hezbolah, plastinian or anywhere in the world. We must with one voice say "No to war". But if i do anything that will bring or promote peace in Lebanon. That might be seen as good benefit. But if i do anything that will escalate the war just because i want to sell my amunitions, that will be considered as bad benefit. It's a self fish benefit, and it's against the law of nature. The law of nature demands that all actions or deeds must be balanced.

We can fight the dirty terrorists (hezbollah, syria, iran) and rid the world of their horrible presence.

Or like these other hippies, we could just try to embrace them with love and sunshine, while they have c4 strapped to their chest.

Yeah, that other dude is right about Israel. They really don't need the help, they don't take **** and they dish out a beating.

For American citizens , if they express rejecting this war made by Israel, they will feel humanity, and satisfy their honest consciences.
