It's much like dealing with death.

The relationship is ending. You must pay respects to the good and bad part of the relationships. Try to teach yourself what YOU really want and how to avoid what went wrong. DON'T beat yourself up ... this is only a step to lean more about life and yourself. Remember, you cannot change his actions, you can only change the way you will carry yourself from here on out.

Also, it is important to look to the future with hope and anticipation. Remember, an ending is really just the begging .

Well- I ll be honest with you- as I have been in this situation...
Unless and until you find somebody ELSE- whom you love more and is more special...its very very difficult to get over!
Conversely- you ll find that someone ONLY when you are OVER THIS ONE!!
So- its a chicken and egg situation...
If possible- distance yourself- physically as well as emotionally from the SIGHTS, SOUNDS, Smells and anything that reminds you of the person...
Engage yourself in new activities that you have been wanting to do since a LONG time...can be taking guitar lessons or learning to oil paint or just updating your blog!
Time is the biggest healer...but the thing is that time passes too slowly WHEN you are in a MESS!!!
Don't worry- I ll give you a good quote which ll stand by you in difficult times:

" This too shall pass."!

Cheers and I hope things get better for you real soon!

If it was "the best thing for both of you", and BOTH of you are mature enough to handle it, you would still be together. If not, let it go. For the he or she will need the space to eventually realize that yeah, this is "the best thing" and love will come back to you. The hardest test to find true love is the ability to let it go.

"Don't waste psychological energy feeling down-trodden."

I read that in a history of photography book. It was a quote from one of the artists and it lifted me out of my depression when I was going through a mutual break-up. I was emotionally spent and I made a conscious decision not to let it affect me. Find your passion and immerse yourself in it. Pamper yourself. And working out helps release seratonin too so you'll feel better about yourself.

God bless!
