I have talked to many illegal immigrants and it does not change my opinion in the least! Sure, they can seem like nice enough people, like anyone can, but the very fact that they are here illegally and sapping our social benefits and ruining our economy by depressing wages and taking jobs that Americans would be glad to do if the wages were not depressed, etc., means I want them ALL to leave! If they want to come here and be a part of this great country, then they should have the pride and honour to go about it the right way and expect to pay their fair share to live in this country. Just the fact that they are here illegally loses any respect I may otherwise have had for them.

In the first place, Mexicans cannot become citizens for at least 7 years. And they can't even do that unless they get green cards and register with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. So, they still have to go back to square one and go back to Mexico and enter legally before they can do that.

You are really missing the point. This immigration policy problem is not about whether Mexicans are nice people or not. Of course they are. The problem is that unlike every other immigrant to this country, Canada included, refugees and immigrants have to wait in line.

The problem with Mexicans is that they think everyone in the United States should give them cuts to the front of the line when everyone else has to wait for their citizenship.

This is about Mexicans cutting to the front of the line at the expense of others who have to wait for seven years to enter.

I talk to Mexicans all the time. They tell me that they just took cuts to the front of the line in order to be here.

Having a conversation prooves what ? Breaking the law to enter our country is the point ! Of course they can be citizans if they want. They already made that choice when they entered our country ilegally. Freedom is earned to any person whom wants it. We should not and cannot give them citizenship unless they make the legal effort to be a citizen.

You said a key word.......illegally. I don't have a problem with immigrants...but do things the legal way. That's all I ask. If it's anything illegal, then to me they have no rights and need to be deported. Many many immigrants have gotten their citizenship because they put forth some effort into it. If they want it bad enough, then they need to do it. No questions asked.

I have met and know several, whether I like them or feel sorry for them is not the point. There are necessary evils in this world like war and deportation imprisonment and others. That's just part of the big picture....put down the peace pipe.

Illegals sneak across the borders breaking our laws and yet politicians and others call them "honest hard working" people.

Honest? If they were honest, they would have come to the USA legally.

And if they are hard working, then they should make their own country great before ruining ours with their invasion.

It is already shown here that yes..America wants immigrants...we do not however want their first act on American soil to be an illegal one. These people HAD an opportunity to enter America legally...They threw that chance away...America has overwhelmingly said..."illegals go home"...
