It's an EXCELLENT movie and greatly suggest it.
Perhaps if you don't want to buy it, you could always check it out at your local library?

It is very similar to Pygmalion. The scene in Higgins mothers house is replaced with a trip to Ascot racecourse which allows for the song ''ascot gavotte'' I think that is the biggest difference.Apart from that it keeps fairly close to the play.

Read a copy of Shaw's play first. I also recommend the old black-and-white film "Pygmalion." Try to find a copy.
