Probably the same reason all unmarried boys are not virgin. They fail to appreciate the nature of the sexual bond and think that sex is a toy, when it really creates a bond so strong that nothing can be allowed to interfere.
This means that before having sex, people need to make a clean break from their parents, because from now on their spouse must be the most important to them aside from God. And they need to make a permanent commitment to their spouse.
I have noticed, however, that in many situations where people are very concerned about the girl's virginity, they aren't concerned about the boy's, and furthermore, they take it for granted that the girl leaves father and mother to be with her husband, and it may well not even cross their minds for a man to do *exactly* the same thing, in exactly the same degree.
Take a look at Genesis 2:24 and Matthew 19:3-6, and notice how literally Jesus expects His audience to take the Genesis account: since the account says the two become one, He takes that to mean they should never separate. And the reason is that 'that's how it was supposed to be from the beginning.
So, it says one man plus one woman. That means just that - and just as it's kind of hard to say there's only been one man if a woman isn't a virgin when she arrives at her wedding night, so it's equally hard to say there's only been one woman if a man isn't a virgin on his wedding night.
Bottom line: God wants boys to be virgins when they arrive at their wedding night, and He wants them to leave father and mother, make a permanent commitment to their wife, and only then become one.
